All of the flowers are from Michaels. They were on sale this week - all stems 50% off! I had to take advantage. My wedding package comes with a bouquet (roses) but I'm going to use it for my toss bouquet instead. Yup. It's from Martha Stewart. I couldn't find it anywhere in any store and I had my heart set on it. I think it might be discontinued. I finally found it on eBay. If you can wait until January, I might be able to sell it to you if you like.

Thanks! Yup, I make the makeup brush roll. Wasn't really too difficult (I'm just a beginner sewer). Here's the link to the pattern I used: Roll-up Makeup Brush Case The only difference (I think) is that I purchased a thin vinyl for the plastic backing (so that the residual makeup from the brushes wouldn't dirty the fabric). If I make another one, I'll use a thicker vinyl. This one was a bit flimsy - but it did the job!

I just wanted to post what I have done so far as I am super proud of myself for accomplishing what I have. I never thought I would want to do this much DIY stuff but it's so much cheaper for us and I got what I really wanted. The invitations: The flowers: (My bouquet, followed by the BMs) Locket for my bouquet (will put a picture of my dad in it). Bought it on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/PoPkO?ref=ss_profile): Makeup Brush Roll (for my cousin who is doing my makeup) and little wristlets for the BMs (I'm gonna put their gift in the them): BMs gift (each necklace is personalized with their initial). Also bought on Etsy (Made By Sam): And the handkerchief for my mom (GosiaDesigns): I have a couple other things done as well (my ring is purchased and I made the guestbook as well) but I didn't take pictures of those. This is pic heavy enough as it is! Again, just wanted to share - I'm so excited!

My best friend/MOH just found out that she is pregnant and is due two weeks after my wedding. Obviously she won't be able to come to the wedding now, which makes me sad. I know I'm being silly but I'm also a teensy bit jealous but I am happy for her two. So many emotions! I just don't know what to do. My mom thinks that I absolutely NEED to have a MOH and is pressuring me to ask a cousin of mine but I've said since before I became engaged I didn't want family in my wedding because of the drama it can cause. I don't have sisters, either. I feel like if I were to 'bump up' a bridesmaid they might feel hurt that I didn't ask them to being with. Ahhhh I don't know what to do!

I have a paper trimmer which I used to cut all the passes out and then for the corners, I used a corner rounder punch. Do you have the template already? I got mine from ayleebits.com where I think a lot of other people got there's from also. I just searched for fonts and the clip art first and then I spent a night and played around with the template. It really didn't take me very long but I got frustrated trying to figure it out at first. It's turned out to be a lot cheaper than ordering, but a lot more time consuming. So if you are up to the challenge then go for it! Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Phil Steingard & the other photogs in his studio do absolutely amazing work. My friend used them and her pictures are stunning. The guy who was there was actually PhotoPhil's nephew I believe and was just outstanding. He was so friendly and good with everyone. I would have booked them myself but I didn't want to copy EVERYTHING my friend did and they were a bit out of mine and my FI's price range. We booked with HDC Photo.

So I have been lurking the boards and have really been inspired by a lot of everyone's DIY projects. I knew from the beginning I wanted to make my own invitations and love the boarding pass idea. Here's my first trial: I love the design of the pass itself - that isn't changing. I'm just not sure about the sleeve yet. I do know I will be adding in more passes (stuff like travel/resort information). What do you guys think?

Where did you get your dj/mc and minister from? I know that the sound system comes included in our package and I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to get a dj/mc. Did you go with Pastor York for your ceremony? I think we're gonna stick with the one that's included but I don't really like the ceremony script. Oh well, it's saves us money. Oh and are there decoration packages? The WC never sent me anything with that. Just the wedding extras like bouquets and whatnot.

Hey... what kind of printer did you use? Mine just decided to die so I need a new (affordable) one. Any suggestions?
