    I am planning on getting married August 2012. I wanted to know if any brides have experienced weddings at Coconut Bay, the Jalousie Plantation, or Windjammer hotels in St. Lucia. They all seem to have a free wedding package but I wanted to hear some experiences firsthand and any advice you can give. I was originally going with Aruba but it seems that none of the hotels I am interested in offer a free wedding and it is getting real pricey. Thanks!

    I am planning on getting married in Aruba August 2012. I have been researching so much stuff that my head is starting to go into overload. I am looking at the Marriott, Hyatt, Manchebo, and Occidental for starters. I have a very strict budget and I wanteed to know if anyone give me any advice about how they were able to have a beautiful wedding at any of these locations without breaking the budget? Also, did anyone do a wedding at these locations and did not do a tradtional reception (ie plated dinner/music) and instead did something else? Just curious. Thanks!!!! -Valerie

    Congrats! I was considering the Renaissance but the TA from DestinationWeddings.com stated that he did not think it was great for weddings. That's why I like this website since I can hear from actual brides who went through the flow of things. What was the deciding factor that made you choose the Renaissance? I am trying to stay within a tight budget. Thanks!!!! -Valerie

    Hello, You are right when you say that this resort seems more affordable to the bride and groom and guests. I am trying to narrow down where to get marrieed and this resort is high on my list too. Any information you could provide would be helpful!!! -Valerie
