I also know how you feel. I'm getting married the day as you and I just went out Tuesday and bought a new dress. I had been doubting my dress since I bought is in January because it just wasn't "me". The new dress i bought I absolutely love, its the prefect choice for me. So you really need to go with how you feel if you know you aren't attached to the first one then get a new one. You have just enough time. My dress is coming in 2 weeks before we leave for Mexico. Good thing it only needs to be shortened haha. But either way your dress does look great on you! Just go with your gut!

My onsite coordinator got in touch with me this past week I'm still over 4 months away from my wedding. i just confirmed with him that i wanted to book the sky terrace for my ceremony. So maybe you wont have to wait that long after all. Just ask about getting in touch with your onsite wc. They'll be able to do it for you quickly with no problems. Honestly I feel a lot better now that I have been talking with the onsite wc. He just sent me all the menus, private event locations, centerpiece, cake options, etc. I feel like I can really dive in now!

I'm surprised no one has said this yet but...Beach Palace on the Sky terrace. Its the rooftop terrace on the 12th floor, overlooking the ocean on one side and the lagoon on the other. It's where I'm getting married so i'm biased lol.

Congrats Nikkie! Welcome to the boards, they're very addicting. If you start searching the forums you'll find a lot of useful info on the Palace Resorts. If you follow all the Palace Resort threads you can find pretty much answers to whatever questions you may have... Locations, vendors, decorations. Most people post the question and answers they've had back in forth with their wc. Good luck!

who are the onsite people you are dealing with? So far the 2 people I have talked to seem really nice. Mario & Rebeca. Also you could always try the board of directors Carolina Lopez. Thats who i dealt with about my contract issues.

Well it took me foreverrrr to get my contract. But there was something going on with my wedding coordinator at the time and she is no longer with the company.So i was sending her emails and she wasn't with the company any longer. So I was assigned to a new maimi wc. She didn't answer any of my emails or send me a contract until I got her manager involved. Then once I got the contract i wanted some things in it changed that had to be approved my the board of directors. It wasn't until I emailed the board of directors herself with a long email explaining how frustrated I was with the whole process, that I got a contract in which I was willing to sign. From the time I reserved my wedding date from Beach Palace it took about 2 months to get the whole contract squared away. But I'm pretty sure thats not the normal wait time. I think a week or 2 tops is what most people deal with.

I am also using an outside DJ and paying for a day pass. This is written into my contract. However I haven't heard anything yet about this displacement fee. Great just another thing the Palace Resort is trying to give us a hard time about!

AMH any word on this.... I'm worried about the same thing. i dont have my ceremony or reception space confirmed yet. I really have my heart set on the Sky Terrace at least for the ceremony. My wedding is in November.

Okay ladies, so I tried to search for the answer to this question but didn't find much... For anyone who has gotten or is getting married at the Beach Palace Resort, when did you book the Sky Terrace for your ceremony? I saw another bride on here say it was booked for her time. I have inquired with my Miami coordinator but they said that I need to talk to my onsite wc about locations. I emailed her but I'm still more than 4 months out so we will see when she gets back to me. I am nervous that this location will be booked for my November 5th wedding, and the Sky terrace is the reason we chose Beach palace. I'll be crushed if it doesn't happen there. Did you ladies book the sky terrace far in advance?? Thanks!

hello ladies! i'm also getting married at Beach Palace on November 5th. Originally I wanted the ceremony at 4pm but my photographer wanted to take pictures at 2 with the wedding party since the sun sets early, so I changed the time to 2pm so the Groom wont see me before the wedding. Ginger... if you get married at 4pm i was told the sun sets around 5:15 so you would have enough sun to do some pictures, or even capture the sunset. Then you could have your reception all lit up with candles. It's like the best of both worlds!

so it looks like they are really standing their ground about buying day passes for my outside vendors, but its still better than a nights stay!

for everyone who has used DJ Doremixx or has booked him, what was the form of payment you used for the deposit?

I sent my save the dates at the beginning of march and then my Invites the beginning of this month. I gave them 2 months to RSVP that way 3 months prior to the wedding ( once I'm in touch with the onsite wedding coordinator) id have my final headcount.

hey ladies! For what is worth I just had them take out the vendor clause altogether. They did this in my original contract. But since then I have changed the time of my wedding. So when they sent me a new contract it had some wording about the vendors staying at the resort. So I crossed it out and told my WC that this is not what i agreed to when I addressed the issue with her boss and boss's boss. I am using an outside vendor and dj, and most likely a florist. I have no intentions on paying any fees!

hello everyone! I'm still researching a few photographers that are good quality and budget friendly. I was wondering if anyone has used Diego Munoz from my tulum weddings as their photographer. I tried to search him here but didn't come up with much info other than the reviews on the vendor thread. Those reviews don't seem super legit to me as non of the members have any other posts other than the review for Diego. Anyone have any experiences with him? I'd love to hear any feedback! Thanks!
