im getting married at the beach palace and I am using an outside photographer but do have to pay an $88 day pass. I had it written into my contract originally ( a PITA by the way lol) but now they aren't charging me the other $250 fee they charge for using their electric and non-sense, So if you really want to get married at a palace resort you can work it out.

I love this dress! I tried it on and it looks amazing! It made me feel sooo skinny....thanks to all of the tulle lol. It was a real contender but my best friend also loves this dress and she had tried it on before I did and it looked incredible on her. So I couldn't love it as much as I wanted to lol. She deserves it. I did however go with the new vera wang dress with the corded lace top and tossed tulle skirt. I saw it online and new it was the one. Once I tried it on I was sold. But your dress is honestly stunning. Also remember nothing about a wedding day is really practical, its about feeling "special" and LOVING everything about that day...number 1 being your husband, #2 your dress : )

Sorry i should have clarified. the brides bouquet and grooms bout. are included in all the packages. The bridesmaids, groomsmen, MOB, FOB are all extras you'd have to pay for.About the music...I'm pretty sure they still play it on the beach for you...probably in like a little boom box haha. As far as chairs the standard white chairs are included. Some decorations for the ceremony are included in the Sapphire Collection, such as arrangement for the judges table, colored fabric for the chuppah, silk flowers along the aisle, and chair sashes on some of the chairs for a pop of color. As far as the reception goes, I believe you need to provide all your own decoration OR pay for the decor company to do it for you. You can also purchase centerpieces and other upgrades such as lighting, candles, colored linens, etc.

Hey Joanne, I am definitely feeling a little stress now because it is getting so close. But then again I'm a type A control freak lol. But I am realizing now that all the little things will work themselves out once I get down there and talk to my amazing on-site wc. I mean its pretty much impossible to predict every little thing that will and won't go right. My biggest stress right now is about what my centerpieces will be, and getting our GM attire all set. Other than that there's not too much Ii can overly stress about. I know I want to have a bunch of private functions but I'm not going to go above and beyond with those other things because its not what people will remember the most. I've learned slowly but surely lol to just get the essentials down and everything else will fall into place!

Have any of you ladies had any luck finding tall plastic vases?If so, where? I'm hoping to find some decent ones to bring with me! I just don't know if I want to risk glass.

Hey kristynl, 1) You should definitely consider getting a dj or and IPOD package because the music for the reception is not provided. Also you can bring a CD for your ceremony music and they will play it for you. One thing to consider with the IPOD package is that no one will MC for you. ( i'm personally using DJ Doremixx) 2) you can either get a photographer or use the resort...it depends on how important photos are to you 3) You need to order bouquets, you can get them from the resort but they are VERY expensive. Also alot of brides chose to order/ make silk or real touch bouquets so they don't wilt in the heat and that you can keep them when you go home. 4) Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure they will provide all the chairs with no problem.

Hey sxct, Don't worry I'm getting married on November 5th, and pretty much none of my wedding party has booked yet... and that's 11 people right there haha. I have 26 people coming that I know for sure so we still a decent amount of people who are procrastinating lol. I'm probably just gunna remind everyone that they have to book this month before the rooms get released.

you should try etsy! you can also get custom robes for your bridesmaids to get ready in. I bought some for part of my bridesmaids gifts.

You should try etsy for a bride to be hoodie! There's quite a few people on their that do tanks and hoodies!

honestly...I think the dress budget should be in line with your wedding budget. For instance if you are having a bigger wedding and spending $30,000 than I could see spending $3000 on a dress. But if you are only spending $10,000 or below on your wedding than maybe $1500 is a little more reasonable. Initially I was going to spend up to $3500 ( i also watch say yes to the dress too much haha) but in the end found a gorgeous dress for a fraction of that ( $1200 before alterations) at believe it or not David's Bridal. It was a White by Vera Wang dress and as much as I have had not so great experiences there I loved my dress. I originally bought a dress I grew to hate from there from an aweful consultant. Then when they came out with the Vera Wang dresses I fell in love with one and went back to get it. The sales woman was amazing the second time. So it's def. hit or miss there!

I love you linen pockets! Those are a very nice touch! I did pocket envelopes also but with plain card stock and now I'm jealous haha!

Congrats! Everything looks great! The picture of the horse and carriage makes me jealous! I would have loved to have that but I'm a Beach Palace bride!

did you try to get it moved there at all?? Maybe you can get it just for a different time? Also are you having a cocktail and dinner? If you are how far in between your ceremony and cocktail? My ceremony is at 2 but my cocktail hour is at 5pm. I was thinking that it works so we will have time to get all the pictures done and then actually enjoy the cocktail hour with our bridal party and guests.

919 pictures isn't a bad problem to have haha! I'd love for my photographer to give me that many. More memories of the best day!
