Thanks prti007, I just ordered the 18 inch black lanterns...I would have gotten both also but the 10 inch are back ordered until mid November, after my wedding. Besides I also have bud vases with roses that i will be putting on each table so I think the 18 inch will be good enough. Thank you soo much for posting those!

Hey proti007, did you get those lanterns in white...because they don't have them in white in the site. Or did you spray paint them? I may just suck it up and buy them in black because i want them so badly. They are ecaxtly what I had in mind. Also what size are the ones you had? 10 inches or 18? Thanks

ye i hear ya on that about the mix of personalities. I also wanted something more formal and traditional. We are getting married on a Terrace overlooking the ocean and lagoon so I wanted it to be dressy feeling.

Hey Joanne, I'm glad the Jetblue thing worked out for you. They also cancelled are direct flight for a monday! We didn't book jetblue for the way home so I won't be able to luck out with a direct flight home. I'm thinking we may just bite the bullet and go down and extra day early to avoid and connections and loosing wedding related bags haha. The worst part about our canceled flight is that I found out from my bridesmaid who is on the same flight. They didn't even email us! I'm pretty sure we are going to just have to pay to stay an extra day but we are def. gunna see if they are willing to do something for us. I originally was going to get married at 4:00pm also, but after the photographer wanted to do group shots and bride and groom shots before the wedding. I don't want to see my fiance before the ceremony. I am a little more traditional that way haha. So we are getting married at 2:00pm. this will work out pretty good though because we I figure the ceremony will go about a half hour than we can take all the pictures. We can take our time doing our bride and groom shots. Our cocktail will start at 5:00pm, followed by dinner and reception. This works nicely if any of our guests want to freshen up before the cocktail hour. Plus now my fiance and I can go to the cocktail hour and enjoy it with our guests.

just got the final pictures of my bouquet and I am very excited to receive it and the rest of my bridal party flowers in the mail shortly!

Luvmoo... those keyholder and lanyards are perfect... I just tried to order them from 8 seasons but it says there is $50 minimum purchase for US... and I definitely don't need to spend that much. My order would have been just over $4 haha.

Honestly, this is the best advice ever! A destination wedding can be hard because some of your favorite people just simply can't afford to go. Sometimes you hear excuses about why people can't come that just make you cringe, but we just have to remember that it was our choice to have a destination wedding not them. So we can't expect them to set aside the money to go, If it means that much to you for certain people to be there you can always bite the bullet and pay for them. Or just have an AHR where they can celebrate with you. Most of our family isn't coming but I'm ok with it because our closest family ( parents) and our best friends will be going and those are the people that matter the most.

Hello Giselle, I'm getting married at Beach Palace November 5th 2011. We are also doing a complimentary package and adding things, with about 25 guests. Some advice I have for you is just to make sure that you get it written into your contract that you may use outside vendors and ONLY pay for a day pass for each vendor and not pay any ADDITIONAL fees for using the outside vendors. I know a lot of brides get charged an extra $250 for using an outside DJ. I believe Palace Resorts calls is a displacement fee. I had it written into the contract so that I am only paying the day passes which are $88/ person. Also just make sure that if you have any guests who are staying at other resorts that you make sure you can get enough guest passes for them. The Palace Resorts only allow 20% of you guests to have day passes and that includes the outside vendors. Let me know if there are any questions that I may be able to answer for you.
