Looks like we're all in the same boat I'll have to go through what few emails that I have and go from there.

Thanks for all the info ladies....I guess I should warn my guests of this (even though I'm pretty sure it happens everywhere).

Wow, that took a lot of hard work! Nice job.

Those are cute! I want one!

Its stressful even thinking about it!
I know personally I have been a bridesmaid probably 8-10 times, but now it's my turn and I don't want a shower! Not sure how to convey that to my family.

Are there different restaurants for each side? (colonial vs elegance) Or does everyone access the same places?

Hi there! Yes, I believe it is less expensive to have a dinner at a restaurant. Your choices are either the steakhouse, or the seafood place...both set menus for up to 60 people. Food is included:) If you choose to have a private dinner then it will cost per head and you can choose to have it where you want (i think a few bars, a presidential suite, maybe some other areas).
From what I have read, the steakhouse in particular is a little more private for you and your guests.
Our plan, if we have under 60 people is to have dinner in the steakhouse and then move things elsewhere for a DJ'd reception. But yeah, i guess just drinks? I'm not sure the logistics of that---considering that eating gives guests something to do.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having difficulty deciphering this price sheet!! The wedding packages that PPR offers is much more simple!
Also, I have a question maybe some of you can answer. I keep seeing people talk about dinner at the steakhouse after the ceremony and then a reception?? How are you guys working this out and is it less expensive to do it this way? Do they set up a private area for you and your guests at the steakhouse? And then what do you do at the reception, just drinks??
Thanks for the help!

I have no clue! My fiance had written to them initially....and since then (i'd say since october) I haven't had any questions to ask!

Purple and dark pink! Pretty!
I think Lisangeles? Although I think I have a emails from multiple people.

Oooh thanks! I need colors!

I'll keep checking out the reviews.
My fiance and I are contemplating having an indoor reception---for fear of it being too hot at night...Opinions? I'm not thrilled about the atmosphere of a ballroom
Picked a dress yesterday, now it's onto colors!

Oh really? Well that stinks! It's going to take forever to get 150!
-
Hahah I know---I understand the 150 post thing, but d@mn I don't have that much to say!

Oh AND, i'm planning on hair and makeup in the spa....

Yeah I'm trying not to focus on the reviews, but I do try to check in weekly.
Anyway---looking to get ideas I guess as to what you girls seem to be doing on your day and the days leading up to it.
I have corresponded with Lisangeles (not very closely since we only booked the date/time, and received the packet of information). We do know that 4 PM is the time, and we're hoping to have dinner at the Steakhouse. So far we have 21 people booked including our photographer and his wife....and we honestly have no clue how many people to expect! We invited about 66 plus children, which brought us over 100. Obviously we're not planning to have many kids there since it is a large expense. Anyway, praying to come in under that 60 count mark to have our dinner in the steakhouse.
Other than that, we'd like to get a DJ and have a reception somewhere....not sure where! It really all depends on how many people we have I suppose.
We sent save the dates a few months ago, we chose our bridal party and asked them to stand by our side, but have yet to choose colors/flowers/etc.
I'm going to look at dresses at Davids Bridal again today. Crossing my fingers that I place an order!
Oh and we booked in the elegance club---for 9 nights!

Glad to see there have been some pretty terrible reviews on tripadvisor recently >:-o

Hi girls, just thought I could start a thread on those of us getting married at Majestic this summer ( I apologize if there's already something out there! ).
I'll start---August 20th on the beach!
Curious as to whom is getting married there and what their plans are as far as picking flowers, ceremony, room choice, reception information, experience with travel agents and wedding coordinators etc!
