Mario is awesome he was my SIL WC, but honestly he was only present during the ceremony and NOT the reception so I don't honestly know what they are required to do, but it doesn't seem that your experience was much different. Congrats on your engagement I got engaged in December also. Picking your resort can be difficult, but you've come to the right place. Read a lot of the reviews and ask to look at pictures because paradise is how you define it. Congrats again and happy planning

Thanks everyone! I am in the process of trying to get information on the tours that you can pay for that are not a part of your vacation dollars. There are fun things I want to try and I want to compare the rates with the places on line and the rates with my TA.

So I have to say I am trying to figure out bridesmaid dresses now. We weren't sure if we'd end up with a bridal party but we now have a MOH and BM. I think I want short and light and watermelon in color. Must get to thinking about it since my DRESS IS IN and she just had my nephew. and I have to share.

I tried my TA she gave me a google map. While nice not what I had in mind. Did you ever have a something specific in mind like you have seen it before and it would be perfect you just don't remember exactly WHERE you saw it?

I agree with Coco....there is no reason to put yourself through the undo stress. I know it's easier said than done but they are dealing with more than just one bride at a time and I am sure the demands of their time are immense. Give her some time to call you back, or have your TA call the MP. I've left all of this type of communication in MY TA's hands. They are ultimately the ones who have the relationship with the resorts and may have different avenues to seek help through. Call your TA and let her know the issues and see what you find out from there.

Anyone know of a place to get a map of downtown Cancun that shows all the shops restaurants and everything all in one place? I can find some that have each but not combined. Thanks

I think the volume of weddings at Sun Palace is probably a lot less than at the Moon Palace.

I am getting married @ the Moon Palace and their vendor policy kind of sucks, but I am seeing improvements in areas that would definitely concern me. Photography is the most important to me so my photographer is a guest at my wedding. While I would love to be able to afford the likes of Del Sol or La Luna, it just was not in the cards for us, but for the brides that want them at least MP allows them to have them. If they said no outside vendors period, I'd probably have gone a different way because I was not impressed with the resort pics that I had seen previously done by their in house photographers, but since then it appears they have upgraded a bit. So my answer is maybe because as long as the resort photography inspired me I'd be okay since the rest is just icing.

I am using dw.com too and while I didn't have the best first impression the last 6 months have been fabulous. I wanted a TA that my guest could trust and one that would be a part of my wedding not just some random person. And now I have that in my second TA with them. When I signed up I didn't know what exactly I wanted, but when I got my first one I knew it was not her.

Search the forms for Moon Palace 2011 also Moon Palace 2012 since the photography options are the same at all resorts it might help. That is the one thing I worry most about is that I lose my diamond but if I never did not wear my ring FI would be so hurt. He actually went to a place that will replace any diamond lost period. No hidden fees or anything, But I agree they should be able to or willing to reset it. Maybe they'd be willing to let you exchange the band if that is what you truly want to do.
