I'm travelling with Air Transat but I heard that most airlines are changing the rules for travelling with it.

I got them off ebay for $30 and I think $5 for shipping. I have worn them around the house quite a bit to make sure they won't break. I have had problems in the past with heels. lol...but they seems to be quite strong. I figure even if they break (hopefully not) I am at least a the resort I can either jsut take them off or grab new shoes from the room. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370475653219&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Here is the seller info, and they came really fast too.

Wow soo much to catch up on when I only look once a day....I'm going to have to check it a couple more times just so I can see what's going on!! Brandy those dresses are gorgeous...seriously..you should be getting paid to do this. You are great!! SO just an FYI for everyone, I got word that the airlines and suppliers are changing their rules on traveling with your wedding dresses! I advise checking in to it with your TA. With my specific supplier, I am alloweed to have it as a 'free carry-on' but it has to be able to fit in the overhead compartment. Whereas before you could hang it in their coat closet. I know that there is companies out there that box up your wedding dress into a little box and then you jsut have to get it steamed when you get there. Kind of a pain in the a$$ but at least you don't have to shove it into a carryon bag or something like that.

Ellabaja, I have the 'mini-move' from walmart!! It was cheap and sounds awesome...we're talking Ipod right?? It's a great little stereo, and it also has radio too. I am bringing mine with me too!

Brandy.....CRAZY!!!! sooo sorry to hear that! Maybe if you could get your money back and call Kustom Koozies they could rush your order. I haven't received mine yet but I told them I was leaving earlier than I am so even if they were a little late it would still be ok. I think they do rush orders but April will still give you quite a bit of time to get some new ones made up. Lisa...I got my brochurese in BTW and THANK YOU...they look fabulous!! And thanks for the tip in the email as well I would post it but I took alot of your wording so it wouldn't really be too much of anything new to post, I changed (obviously) everything to do with the hotel, the front, and a few other things but it pretty much has the same style as yours. You are very creative! thanks again! Tenny...Yes I think La Vie en Rose is Canadian, but maybe you could order them. I went and picked up the bags today, they are the perfect colour except for the fact that on one side it says in BIG letters La Vie en Rose and has a picture of a girl in a bathing suit, so I went to Michaels and picked up some Acrylic paint and I am going to sponge paint over the lettering and pic of the girl. Hopefully they turn out alright. I'll post pics when they're done. And welcome noobies...I am kinda one too, except I creeped it forever before I finally posted anything but this is an amazing place to get great info and advice. I think SPRING 2011 sounds great!!

Hey guys, I don't know if any of you guys are still looking for OOT bags....the actual bag. I found some at La Vie en Rose that are teal (my colour) for only $1. I am going to look at them this afternoon but they are also 'wet bags'. I don't know if the teal colour is going to be too feminine for the men to carry around at the resort but we'll see. I also found this website that has bags for really cheap http://luau.ziggos.com/luau-bagstotes-c-6_218.html I am going to check out the La Vie en Rose first simply because I am losing track of my ebay/online items that I am waiting for. yikes

Love those pink ones. Heres mine -
Hey abbie32, Eugenia actually got back to me 3 times after I wrote that. haha oops! I guess a little anxitey..... Anyway I have decided against doing the sand ceremony. I read another girls post and she said it was a nice touch but basically she brought it out there (packing was a hassle and the extra weight didn't help) , and she also said she brought it all home and it is still packed up. I would rather use the extra weight on....well...to be honest, shoes!! We are also getting married at the hammock location, I am curious what are your colours again? I am bringing down some fabric for the hammocks as well so maybe we could coordinate because my wedding is just before yours that day. I am at 1 and I believe your at 4 right? My colours are teal (peacock) and my flowers are hopefully fuscia or a deep pink anyway. I am getting sooo excited, I can't believe it's coming up so fast. I got some crazy cute shoes for the reception, I picked them up last week. they were pretty cheap off ebay and I am in-love with them. I think they just might be my favorrite shoes...ever!! Sorry the pic is soooo big!! Happy Plannig Ladies!!!

Abbie32.... Are you doing a 'sand ceremony'? I hadn't planned on it but now I don't know after reading some other forums and alot of other ppl are doing it. Ughh just seems like more stuff to bring down. Are you wearing a formal dress for the cremeony or something more beachy?? I can't wait....it's coming up sooo fast!!! Have you guys all paid your final payment? How is your turn out? I had a bunch of ppl cancel last minute oh well!! their deposit went back into the group so everyone is going to save about $150pp...what can ya do!? Abbie32 again...I have been emailing Eugenia for over a week and havent received a response. Have you been having a hard time getting ahold of her? I was getting a response the next day and now I'm not at all...hmmmm

Love it...... Tiera. My something blue is; I bought a white garter belt and I am sewing on a canucks logo (FI is a huge hockey fan). I don't know what it is but I LOVE shoes, and those are super cute!!!!!!!

Afternoon.... BRandy (and anyone else) again yep everyone is right, in fact I was laying in bed last night after i signed off and thought I should have mentioned someting about dietas well. Portion control is a huge factor to weight loss. Eating after 8 at night is a big no-no. I lost 40 pounds after my baby from doing P90X and I now incoorporate Turbo Jam with it just to mix it up. 1wk of P90X and the next week is Turbo Jam. I stick to mostly a low carb (healthy carb) diet and try to keep as much organic food as possible. This works great for me. I am NOT a dietician but I am pretty healthy and I know what works for myself. As far as carbs go you can now even buy spaghetti that is orgainc brown rice spaghetti...it's super delicious and my 2 yr old loves it. Bread is another one that people tend tofear but again sticking to a all grain bread is very good for you and full of fiber. Lots of water is another key factor to especially with the amount you are working out alot.I always have water around me. Finally, don't deprive yourself of deliciousfood either, there is alot of ways to cook using heathy alternatives....google isyour best friend. And remember cheat days are always incredible at the end of the week but just don't overdo it.. Hope this helps... Tris..We are trying to buy right now too....stress??!?!?!? lol Just need to find that perfect place to call home!

Hahah I just realized I said more harder......oops If this isn't clear let me know and I can rephrase it. lol Oh yah and thanks for the shoe comp....I love them too

Hey ladies... Brandy....Tenny, Tiera and Lisa are all right. Muscle does weigh more than fat (unfair right??), but the idea is to get your metabolism running at high velocity....lol, this is the 'trick' to weight loss. The more you work out and strength train, you will build and 'train' your muscles, but at the same time the more your muscles are being used the more harder and longer they work which in turn is increasing your metablosm and this is why you are probably finiding you have much more energy even wvwn when you arent working out. The first few weeks of a new program will always be 'training' your body to peak it's metabolism and after that you will definately noticce a difference. And again it's not always the weight that is important but rather inches and quite frankly, how you feel in general. Trust me it's not an easy road but it's worth the hard work. You sound like your doing a great job, Keep me updated on your progress and maybe I could make some other suggestions as far as routine goes. BTW Love the long sleeve linen, I think that's the ones I'm going to get. Kustom Koozies.... lol Lua....Thanks for the tip I am going to try and make a trp to H&M soon. We are headed into prime summer shopping so pull out the credit cards...lmao Nighty night for now!!!!

Brandy I took a look at your suit and I would totally get it except it's quite a bit too big.(too bad) If anyone has seen a Very very very light teal shirt anywhere could you let me know!! Thanks in advance.

Wow only 24 hrs and soo much to catch up on: For all you ladies who have just started working out, I am a Personal Trainer so if you have any questions... go ahead, and keep it going it'll all be worth it!! Thanks for the Iron on ideas, I defiantely think I am going to go that way. Okay so I have finished shopping for my OOT bags (finally), just waiting on my koozies. We are going to look for FI's suit and GM's shirt and pants. My colours are teal and fuscia...well the only thing that's is fuscia is the flowers. The rest is Teal and Khaki color. Okay so my super exciting news ....shoes..... I am wearing an off-white gorgeous dress for ceremony and white, sexy wedding dress for reception. I don't have the shoes for my ceremony yet but I just got my reception shoes yesterday....they fit perfect and are so amazing...these are soo me!!! And they were cheap but well made:

Mocha: Yah, they did have good reason...one couple consulted their dr. about their fertility cycle and he advised them not to go, another couple couldn't go for some other reason (I think problems on the home front), and 2 people cancelled because they couldn't come up with the $$ for the final payment (hello credit card!!), and I haven't talked to the other 4 people but they are FI's work buddies so no biggie there. Oh and they all lost there deposits....which means all the money ($2000) goes back into the group so everyone ended up getting a disount because of it. We could have used it just for us but.....it was certainly tempting, but just didn't feel right!! So we ended up with a group of 20 including ourselves. Not too bad. Thanks for listening ladies!! It's coming up fast.... Tenny: We just need to focus on the good.....YAY we're getting married to the most amaizing men we know, and in such a short time!!! So has anyone found a cheap bikini that says BRIDE on it??? I can only find them for about $100, which isn't too bad, but just seeing if there is anything cheaper or possibly a 'coupon code' out there for one of the online stores?!??!? Can you guys believe it's almost February??? CRAZZZZYYYYY!!!!
-
Tenny: That sucks....it's unfortunate that some people can be so inconsiderate....clearly her 'filter' is clogged!!! I am having a similar issue, sort of...I didn't lose anyone liek yourself but as far as the friend situation goes, my long-time best friend was already going to be in Mexico when I decided to get married so I planned the wedding thinking it couldn't be more convenient for her.....well....not only did she respectfully decline my MOH offer....(there is no emoticon to describe that feeling) , her excues was that she didn't know if she would have the time to be able to commit to that kind of 'job'; she then said she would stay at the hotel for 3 days so she could at least spend some time with me before the wedding and of course the wedding day......she called me yesterday to tell me she wasn't going to stay there anymore, and 'are you mad at me?' !!! My response was simply 'you do what you have to, I am okay with whatever you decide'.....I wasn't....I hung up and cried my eyes out....I woke up this morning realizing, I can only let the actions of other people affect me how I allow it to affect me...I have become more at peace with what happened, and now I AM okay. The only people I really want there without a doubt are my family, our son (he's 2 and soo cute), and FI!! I hope this helps..but we're all here if you need more ears (or eyes rather)!! BTW to add iinsult to injury we had 10 ppl cancel just before final payment....most for good reasons so no hard feelings....it's not about numbers right???? SAD DAY!!!!

Okay ladies....HELP!!! We had planned to just rent the DJ equipment from the resort, thinking it was going to come with everything we need. My BIL is a musician so we figured we could save some moola!! I just got the email back from the WC letting me know that the 'equipment' (I say this loosely), is a speaker with an ipod cable!!!! Seriously......Anyway, I have seen alot of previous info about DJ's on this forum (I tend to just look for advice and hardly ever comment), sooooo I am wondering is=f anyone has decided on a DJ and would like to share their DJ information with me as my wedding is coming up at the beginning of APRIL and now I am starting to panic a little...yes...I can be a bit of a drama queen...I prefer that over bridezilla!! JK So far this is the only issue I have had. I am having the poolside cocktail hour(s). So do I just contact the DJ??? Is any DJ allowed to play at the resort??? Thanks in advance!!!!
-
lisadias...do you by any chance have the information for your brochures in a program I could 'copy'. I LOVE your idea but am unfortunately not that creative. I will tweak it to make my own of course but would really appreciate the help. You did an amazing job on everything!!!! I wish I had that kind of creativity...I have gotten pretty much all my ideas from this website! lol oh well I guess I am a right-brainer!! Thanks in advance..my email is [email protected] if you want to email me whatever you can that would be fantastic!! Thanks again

abbie32-.......that is so crazy!!! I am getting soooo excited...I guess you are too!! We are getting married at 1 or 2 on the beach. You should email me so we can chat about all our plans... we have 30 give or take a few ppl...you know the 'late bookers'! lol I saw you were asking about OOT bags I am doing them for sure. I figure if people are going to spend the money to be there on my special day I can at l can at least show a little appreciation by getting them a little something. I am doing the Wedding Week Survival Kit, and I am filling it with a few things but all the things are pretty cheap but everything will be personalized. For example; chapstick with labels printed on the computer that say something funny, koozies with a personalized funny logo, and a few other things. I have gotten a ton of ideas from this website. Although if I were having 60+ ppl I don't know if I would. We arrive April 1st and leave April 8th....we are not staying.....booo.... We should get together for a pre-wedding drink! Anyway here is my email addy.....less than 3 months away eeek!! [email protected]

I am getting married at the Akumal on April 6th 2011. I am getting nervous and anxious. This is a great site for loads of info!! Has anyone booked or used the DJ for the poolside reception? This is my plan but we will be bringing our own music...just need the equipment and the coordinator said if we rent just the equipment..we are responsible if anything goes wrong with it. So I think we will get the DJ, I am just wondering if its actually worth it.
