  1. Awesome thanks- I'm def taking advantage of that freebie then!!! thanks!!!
  2. Do they check to see if you are engaged in the future for this? I was married in Nov and would like to make a book from our trip/wedding week with all of our guests so I'm wondering if I could still get a free book.
  3. Hi! I tried to use them last year for my Nov 2012 wedding as I got price quotes that were way cheaper from them than from Marvin at maya floral. I had some concerns as they had never delivered flowers to Sun Palace where my wedding was being held but I figured for $200 cheaper it was worth the risk. I had spoken with Barbara I believe was her name and then all of a sudden her communication stopped. No one ever responded to my emails after barbara left and so I went back to Marvin about 3 months before my wedding. I think it worked out for the best and paying the extra $200 that Marvin charged was worth the piece of mind knowing that Maravin was a reputable florist and has delivered to almost all the Palace resorts many many times!
  4. That is awesome congrats!! I am interested in reading your blog, thanks for posting!!
  5. Just wanted to bump this thread! I don't know if any of the 2011 brides are still checking this thread but i hope all have conceived happy healthy babies! My husband and I were married Nov 2012 both were 25 when we got married. We have been together for 8 years now and started living together a month before we were married. I still want that "selfish" time to ourselves until at least our 2 year anniversary. None of our friends have children yet so that is keeping my itch subsided. My MOH actually got pregnant in Mexico and is due in August- she lives in Vegas and I live in Illinois so it will be exciting but I won't get to see the baby more than twice a year. My plan is to have two children by the time I'm 31 so if I have one at 28/29 and then 30/31 I will be good! Good luck to everyone that is currently TTC!
  6. I booked my ipod through PSAV for my 2012 wedding...from what I've heard I'm not sure that they are still a prefered vendor of Palace resorts- so you may need to consider Kristy's prices that she posted for the ipod hookup and tech. I didn't really try negotiating with them- I thought $200 was resonable in comparison to the $1000 for a dj! Sounds like you will have a large party for your wedding- congrats!! We had 41 people but it was a great number for us! Quote: Originally Posted by YossiMeyer Thanks Shan - where did you get this price? My official BP wedding booklet has it at $385 for 2 hours? I know you had a similar number - were they open to negotiation?! Ta x
  7. I had Suzette!! She was super sweet and did a great job! Aside from her showing up an hour and a half late to our meeting (she made up for it by not charging me to set up my decorations and went the extra mile for me) she did a great job and she stayed the entire time. She will be slow to respond up until your 30 day mark and then she will respond same day! Don't worry everything will be great- you are in good hands!
  8. Yep we had a family friend be the MC. We did everything at once so he didn't really have to do much- wedding party entrance, into our first dance, into father daughter into mother son dance. Then I think we ate and then did toasts and cake. I didn't do the garter or bouquet toss. The WC will help coordinate and then you can give him a run down of the order and he'll be fine! It worked out great even though our MC may have been a little drunk cause he misprounced a couple of our friends names even though he's known them for years!! haha. oh well.
  9. I used the ipod dock for 4 hours with one speaker and it was $210. Our reception was from 6-10 as well as our ceremony was at 4 and our cocktail was at 5. Worked perfectly!
  10. Both I believe..hopefully it's better now with it in Mexico!
  11. I booked through a TA but I know past 2012 brides that booked directly through the resort had issues with time (resort taking forever to return emails, phone calls etc) and they sometimes had issues with booking links for guests to use.
  12. Thanks for the info- I figured ROH meant something like that! I emailed my WC so we'll see what she says. Was Suzette your WC? I know she does Sun and Beach. She was mine (I got married at Sun but stayed at Moon).
  13. Thanks for the info- even though it's been 6 months I wonder if I could ask! We already booked our trip though and didn't book through Palace directly..so it may be a lost cause lol. What is ROH room type? So that mean you do not get resort credit when you do this then, correct?
  14. And how did you get the free "anniversary nights?" I don't recall that being in my package from 2012.
  15. Hi Kristie! We stayed in the Nizuc section for our wedding last year and we are returning for our anniversary and staying in the grand section- the rooms are bigger- the section is quieter and more modern. The only downside is there are no oceanview rooms in this section but we can just walk outside and see the ocean!!
  16. Yes the bridal party can cut off their wristbands..just make sure no one looses it- otherwise they have to pay like $50 for a new one. Everyone can just bring their cut wristband up to the front desk the next day and they will give you a new one. I never got a new one and no one said anything about me not having a wristband for 3 days lol.
  17. If you qualify you will pick from buffet menus- there are about 10 different dinner menus and a seperate list of menus for the cocktail hour.
  18. Hi Carolina. Send me a PM and I'll send you my instructions on how to make the starfish aisle decorations! shanna
  19. yay!!! Hope you are enjoying every moment of it and I hope it doesn't rain too much while you are there!!! Can't wait to see you as a beautiful bride!
  20. I used Marvin in November- I paid $65 for each bridesmaid bouquet and $165 for my bouquet. His prices are not the cheapest but he does an amazing job and it's cheaper than getting them through the resort!
  21. I had 40 people and 6 tables. We reserved 2 tables- for the wedding party and then we had our parents sit at a table next to us. It worked out fine!
