    For all the recent brides, is there any nightlife at the resort? I know i read somewhere someone mentioned the resort was getting a disco, so I was wondering if there was one now. Thanks!

    wow this is an amazing thread! I had not heard of this resort until another bride told me about it and now this is one of my top choices for my wedding (sometime in 2012)!!!! Thank you past brides for all your information. I will be adding some of you on facebook if you don't mind!!!

    anyone have good websites that they were pleased with and would be willing to share? I want a second dress for my TTD session but I don't want to spend a lot on it!

    I think it just depends on your budget, if you can afford to send out STD/invitations to everyone you would if you were getting married at home, then do! (Like the other ladies said, check out vistaprint!!!) That way no one is left out and they can all feel appreciated regardless of whether they decide to come or not!

    congrats and welcome!!! I am in exactly your shoes! I am getting married in the Riveria Maya sometime next year, don't know when, don't know where! There are a ton of resorts to choose from, but this site has been INCREDIBLY helpful in narrowing it down! Once you decide what you must have in your resort, it will be a lot easier to decide! Good luck and you will learn a lot from these lovely ladies!

    i figured that is what they do. Do they allow everyone in the wedding party to have theirs removed? That would look kind of tacky in all of the pictures if they did not. Whoops, that sounds like something I would do! I always wear a pony tail holder!

    I agree, you may not want to send out official invites to everyone (just the people that show interest in going/ or you know or for sure coming) to cut down on costs. Send STD's to everyone and go from there, that is what I think most people do.

    Hello Ladies: I am also from St. Louis, I actually live in Illinois, but it's just easier to say I'm from St. Louis. My name is Shanna. I am hoping for a 2012 wedding, either in June or November, but I have not started planning nor decided which resort I want. I am leaning towards either a Palace resort (staying at moon palace and getting married at either Beach or Sun) or one of the Dreams resorts!

    Thanks, that is great to know! Do TA's honor the same types of programs resorts have? For example with the palace resorts for x number of rooms booked, you get either a cocktail reception or private function free. Or can you only do those types of programs if you book directly through the resort?
