Thanks for your response Mehganc! Its sounding like they are going to charge $200 to set up decorations now, from what everyone is saying, that really sucks! I will ask her if we can set up the decorations ourselves! I will double check with Janessa tonight and confirm that ridiculous price and about not signing a wedding contract. I would change your cocktail hour to 6:30, just to be safe, esp since you are not having a private reception. My timline is wedding at 4, cocktails at 5 and reception at 6. I do not know about the outdoor restaurants, sorry I can not help you on that.

For all you new brides out there- if you have reserved your wedding in 2012- did you have to sign a contract? I never received a wedding contract to sign, but my wedding is reserved. I find this strange because I know all the past brides have signed a wedding contract. So therefore, I have never been told I cannot bring in outside vendors. Also, they are trying to tell brides that it will now be $200 instead of $65 to set up any decorations they bring with them?!?! What is going on?!?!!?

I will ask Janessa the same thing! I am getting married at Sun palace, but I'm assuming she will tell me the same thing, if she told both of you $200! I will just have someone I know do it for me, or otherwise I may as well just rent their stuff, because $200 is outrageous! Oh no Beatyea!! I need to contact Ivis regarding my welcome/ rehersal dinner at Moon Palace, but from what your telling me I'm not going to hear from her for a long time! Yikes, that is frustrating! My Sun Palace contact person Janessa is very attentive and responds to my emails within 24 hours. I wish Ivis was attentive for you Moon Palace brides!

HI Caleche- I'm assuming your message was to me. We are not staying at Sun Palace for a few reasons. My fiance doesn't like the "hotel" effect of Sun Palace- he likes how the rooms are set up at Moon Palace, so it doesn't feel like you are staying at a hotel. Also, we are expecting a group of about 40 people coming and I felt like people had more options of stuff to do at Moon Palace over Sun Palace. Sun Palace is more of a couples only resort and not a Party type of resort that my friend will be looking for. If it were just me and my fiance going, I would definetly be staying at Sun Palace! Hope this helps! Have fun- I'm jealous! Please take lots of photos! If you go to Sun Palace could you please take lots of pictures of the terraces? The photos the miami contact are hard to see and it's hard to get a "feel" for the different options. Thank you!!! Shanna

Glad to hear Miss Nikki!!! Always remember it's YOUR wedding day. I had to keep telling myself that when my mom tries to put her opinion in on things- we were not seeing eye to eye when it came to my photographer, but in the end, I'm going to get what I want! I have my dress!!! I went over MLK weekend, just planning on browsing and getting ideas and not getting my dress for months, but I ended up finding the perfect dress and bought it the next day! I love it so much and I can't wait for it to come in in April!

Does anyone have Yamila Diaz or Janessa Lopez as their contact person? Those are the two people listed in my email confirmation they sent me on Thursday. They were supposed to contact me by yesterday to send my wedding contract and not sure what else, but have yet to contact me (shocker, right?!!?!) I didn't know if these people were in Miami, or if they were in Cancun. Thanks ladies!!

Beatyea- That is so great to know you are doing the Cuncrawl!!! Will you please write a review about it after your wedding? From what I've read on here the playacrawl is more fun- so I don't know which one to do!! I know Playa is about a 45 min drive from Cancun, so I didn't know if it was worth the drive or not. Did you book the crawl through the website directly?

congrats on setting those dates Jamie!!!! I hope your MOH finds something fun for your ladies to do!!! I haven't even given those events a thought yet- one of my best friends whose in my wedding and I am in hers is getting married exactly 2 months before me so i will have a 6 week time frame as to when I can have my shower/bachelorette party. I'm thinking of doing a bachelorette party in Mexico if the majority of my friends can make the trip!!
