Guess I'm the odd ball- we met with our TA in late January, she confimed a group rate with FunJet and confirmed our wedding date with the resort. I ordered my save the dates and mailed them the next week. I think we had them all mailed by the first week in Feb and required everyone put down their $50 deposit by Feb 25th to secure the group rate. So they had about 3 weeks to put down their deposit. My TA never even offered us to put down the intial deposit for everyone- but that would have been really expensive at $50 when we have 39 people attending. Everyone that is flying locally is currently putting down their $50 deposit for the charter flight out of St. Louis.

Those are cute! That happened to me as well! The day we did ours was a heat record for St. Louis and we have crazy humidity as well. My hair is also curly- so it helped keep my hair curly, but we were sweating the WHOLE time- good thing you can't tell in our pics!

You are correct Stefn- they do not do contracts anymore. When I booked my wedding in February, they told me they have done away with contracts..makes me kind of nervous, but at the same time I guess it is a good thing- I'm just going with the flow and hoping for the best. Once they reserve your date- your travel agent and yourself should get a confirmation email confiriming the date and time of the wedding. Then they will give you a contact person. I doubt you will get any answers, they will probably give you the run around, since even they won't know what is going to be changed.

We invited about 100 people. Right now we have 39 people booked. Perfect number in my opinion!

Good! Just got my engagement pics back!!! Still working on flowers. Really the only things I need to do over the next few months is pick out fiance's suit, and wedding band. I also need to find paper for our boarding pass invite and print those out! How's everyone else?

There are a few people on here that used Smile Market and loved them- you may want to PM LadyDi- she got married in March at Moon Palace and used and LOVED Smile Market.

If you book your photographer 1-2 nights (depending on who you talk to) they are then a guest of your wedding and you should not have a problem. I am getting married at Sun Palace and I am flying down a local photographer and she is staying for 3 nights, so she is definetly a guest of my wedding!
