  1. Great, thanks ladies. I was told mine would be from 6-10 and I have never been told I would be charged extra. I have PSAV for the ipod hookup from 6-10 as well. So hopefully it will all work out and I won't be charged extra!
  2. Question for you recent brides- if you did the unlimited functions with the private reception- how long did yours last and did you have to pay a fee to extend it?
  3. Email them again- barbara the person I had been in correspondence with the last 4 months left the company, so there might be confusion. Just send them an email again and hopefully you will receive a response soon!
  4. Wow, I go away for the weekend and there are a ton of newly married brides and brides currently having the time of their lives! I just got back from Vegas from my first bachelorette party!!! My matron of honor lives in Vegas- so how can you not have a bachelorette party in Vegas?!!? So congrats to Summer and MrsJDH2B- your weddings look amazing and you both look beautiful!! I need to find you both on FB to stalk your pics!! Can't wait for your reviews!!! Congrats to Mrs Bruff, NSG and Smolyan- enjoy your special time and can't wait to see pics!!!
  5. That would be fun, but I think they have a set up fee for the beach, don't they? If our budget allows, that is a good idea. Good to know. That would probably be the easiest way to do it- just a meet and greet thing. I don't know if it will be possible for me to do an actual rehersal since we are getting married at Sun Palace and staying at Moon Palace. I wanted to do the welcome/rehearsal dinner at Moon. But maybe I will have to do it all at Sun as well if they allow for it. Complicated!! lol. Quote: Originally Posted by mrsbruff2b We're doing a rehearsal/welcome dinner. 6. Thank you- that is good to know. That is very true- I have never even asked Miami so I don't know what they would say. I would like to have a rehearsal, but not if it's going to cost $. I am curious with any of the recent brides what they did! Let's hear it ladies!
  7. I am curious about this as well! I was told by one bride before that you have to pay a couple hundred dollars to actually do the "rehearsal". Total waste of money in my mind- people know how to walk down the aisle. What did everyone else do? I currently have about 40 guests for my wedding in Nov and want to have something at Moon Palace the night before- more of a welcome/reherasal dinner. I think I have too many people to just do a reservation in one of the restaurants. I have unlimited private events, but I don't want it to seem like the wedding reception.
  8. Thanks for the heads up! Dollar Tree it is! I know- I'm afraid I'm going to go a little overboard- esp because we will be inviting roughly 100 people- so I'm sure I won't get much of what I'm registering for. Oh well- that's what gift cards are for- right?!
  9. Great thread! I will be registering in the next couple months. My fiance and are are the opposite of most of you ladies. We are in our mid twenties and have never lived on our own. So needless to say, we don't have much. But we plan on buying a house before the wedding- so some things we may end up buying ourselves before our shower and wedding- but hopefully we can make due with little until then!
  10. Yaay Jamie! I can't wait to watch the video! Congrats!!!! Congrats nsg4729!!! Have a blast and enjoy every second of it! Can't wait to see pics!!
  11. Wow, awesome thread! I can't believe all the heartache you had to deal with for the resort! Glad you got everything figured out and everything is working out perfectly!! Congrats on winning the photoshoot- I remember that contest!
  12. Yikes Beatyea! I hope you get a hold of someone soon! I booked through a TA, so she will be taking care of that for me.
  13. Yaaaay!! Congrats and have an amazing time!!! Enjoy every minute of it!!! xoxo!
  14. Yaaaaaay!!! Congrats!!! Have an amazing time and enjoy every minute of it!!!
  15. yaaaaay!! Congrats girl!!! Can't wait to see more pics and read your review!!
  16. Thank you for the awesome review! So happy to see Palace Brides' dreams come true! You looked beautiful!!!!
  17. Yes, after much research, I decided it was a better deal to fly down my photographer. It would have been about $2500 for the photographer that I wanted in Mexico with 6 hours on the wedding day and a TTD the next day. After using my comp'ed nights for the photographer and her assistant- it will be $2000 for a photographer for 3 days! She will be doing a full wedding day shoot and a TTD session. Plus I'm sure we'll get some extra shots in there as well! Oh and the engagement photos!
  18. Lol, thanks Caitlin!!! It's so hard to decide which ones are my fav when I have over 150 of them! I can't image what it's going to be like for the wedding! haha
  19. That was the first Jillian video I ever did-I did it about a year ago and I have been doing Jillian videos ever since! I really liked that video, I saw results- mainly more toned and I lost about 5 pounds. I am pretty small so I did not plan to lose a lot of weight, I just wanted to be toned! Good Luck! The 2nd and 3rd days are the worst, after that it starts getting easier!!! Feel free to yell at Jillian- it helps me!
  20. thanks girls! We did have fun and I'm glad our photographer could show our fun/dorky side! She is actually the photographer we will be flying down to Mexico so I'm so excited to have gotten the chance to work with her before the wedding!
