    Thanks girl!! And I'm with Cafe- it just depends on when and where you're traveling from. My wedding is over Thanksgiving so it's more expensive than other times of the year- it will be about $1800 for a week per person.

    Where is everyone getting their FI's wedding bands from? We don't want to spend a lot on his ring and he doesn't want anything fancy, just a plain band. I think if we go to the jewerly store where he got my rings from, they will be too overpriced, but we will probably at least look there.

    As long as it gets the job done for the big day and looks good in pictures, that's all I care about! Mine shipped yesterday, so hopefully I'll have it by the weekend!

    You cannot use the resort credit for anything additional to the wedding. You may use the resort credit towards one of the wedding packages, but that is it. They used to allow using the resort credit for photographer/videography but they did away with that a couple years ago. Hope this helps!

    has anyone ordered their dress straight from ebay from one of the China sellers? I don't want a custom made dress, I like a bunch that I found on ebay and I was just wondering if anyone has gone that route before. I need a cheap dress for my TTD!

    Thanks for the report back! Wish I would have known about the cups...I bought mine at Walmart for $3 a pice...mine our double lined though, so hopefully the extra $2 a piece is worth it!

    I bought wedges for my beach wedding...I'm hoping it's easier to walk in wedges on the beach over flip flops...fingers crossed!

    I was contacted (I am at Sun Palace though). But it was a generic email, I received it last Monday and in the email it said she would contact me shortly to discuss details and I've got nothing.... I'm 4 months and a week away. Hang in there girls- we'll get it all figured out!

    Hey girl, don't freak out. I feel like I haven't done a whole lot, but there isn't really that much to do for a destination wedding, unless you decide to DIY everything. I still have a lot do, but I feel like it's mainly stuff that needs to be done closer to the wedding (make the playlist for ceremony and reception, make the invitations, buy fiance's suit and wedding band and buy maracas..etc) Everything really won't take very long if you break everything down...so you have nothing to worry about!

    Oh ya I forgot about the timeline and gum is a good idea too. I just bought the rest of my cups at walmart last night and the tags for my maraca favors at Michaels! Check that off the list!

    Hi and welcome!! Just do what I did- I went to David's bridal and picked out a color- (Horizon Blue) and that I wanted a short dress and then let every girl pick her own style of dress (with my approval of course). I have 6 bridesmaids and 2 attendants/usherettes so it would have been hard to find something that looked good on everyone!

    That is why I have decided to keep my OOT bags to a minimum- the bags, cups with lids, a welcome letter and maybe a few meds or something- I don't have time to go overboard...what all are you putting in your bags?
