I think we're doing close to the same thing. My only problem is our wedding is Nov 23rd right around the holidays. So the earliest we could have ours is in January after all the holidays. But we live in the midwest...we want to do an open house, but we know our home will not hold 100+ people, we have to hope people come at different times also. I don't want to wait until April/May when the weather starts getting warm. So I guess we're just going to have to hope for the best! We will do mexican as food, provide beer and margaritas and soda. And some sort of dessert. I want to have a slideshow of our wedding pics constantly rolling in the basement and then have framed pics all over along with our guestbook out again. I don't think I will be wearing my dress again, but I haven't decided. I may put it on for a couple hours and then take it off. Did you include a Open house Invite in your wedding invitations? I think I'm just going to put a Save the Date Open house invites to be sent out at a later date or something like that in our wedding invitiations, just so people that can't attend the wedding in Mexico know.

Oh ya I sent out a cute RSVP to everyone I hadn't heard from in March via email and only about half of those people responded...I figured if you cannot respond to me, you are not coming and I am not sending you an invitation even though I sent you a Save the Date...save myself the $ and time! Some people are just so rude and think it's no big deal...just wait til their wedding comes around, I will wait til the day the RSVP's are due to respond. I'm mean, I know, haha.

Wow, you ladies are lucky that you have so many people coming! I just found out this weekend that my fiance's aunt and uncle have decided to go, which puts us at 42- and the venue we want the cocktail hour holds 40 people, so I'm hoping they won't be that picky on it.. I mean that 42 people includes me and my fiance, and we will probably miss half of the cocktail hour anyways.. I just think it's crazy that people have known about it for months and then last minute decide they want to come...I'm too much of a planner to EVER do anything like that!! We started registering this weekend, it was fun!!!

I bought the $3 cups at Wal-mart- they have different colors during the different seasons. I bought the orange, red, green and blue ones. They look very similair to the Dollar Tree ones but they have a rubber gripper thing around the middle of them and the cups are clear with colored straws and grippers. I bought vinyl decals off a seller on Etsy to have the first letter of everyone's name so everyone can tell their cups apart! Allie- Are you putting a note in the cups so people know to use the cups on the trip? I think we are going to have a pre-Mexico gathering at our house before we leave to hand out all the bags before we leave for Mexico that leave around us, so we only have to bring about 4 bags with us for the out of town people. I am planning on putting the cups, Tums, hand sanitizer, welcome letter and timeline in mine. I might buy cheap sunglasses and small things of sunscreen if we can find it also.

Hi Ladies! As my bridal shower is fast approaching I am working on making Thank you cards in Shutterfly with our engagement photos. Does anyone have any tips for shutterfly as far as coupons/sales go? I know right now they are 20% off, but I was curious if anyone has gotten them for cheaper or even if someone has the $20 promo gift card from David's Bridal that they are not planning on using and would be willing to share with me? I had 2 but they both expired in June and I did not get a chance to use them before then. Thanks ladies and I appreciate your tips!

Hubby will be wearing a kahki suit that we have yet to purchase from Men's Warehouse- waiting for the BOGO sale! He will be wearing a royal blue tie to match the bridesmaid dresses. The groomsmen have linen pants I bought from Old Navy and will wear white button down shirts with orange ties. Hubby and groomsmen all have matching brown leather sandals! My dad will be wearing the same as the groomsmen but with a yellow tie. If you can't figure it out- my colors are blue, orange and yellow! The ties are all from the tie mart (I think is what it's called) online. Every tie is silk and was only $15!!

I agree, it is not weird at all- it is your wedding and you can do whatever you want! If it is important for them to share you wedding with you whether in Mexico or the AHR, then I think you have a great idea! Luckily, all of my best friends are making the trip to Mexico, otherwise I would have done the same thing- photos are VERY important to me and not having my girls in wedding photos would be very sad to me! So go for it! You have plenty of time to figure it all out!

Ugh..I'm so jealous! My girl at Sun Palace hasn't emailed me anything after my phone call with her on Friday. I even forwarded her the important emails with my Miami Coordinator and still nothing!! Cailtin my girl- can you send me your purchase order too- so I can see what yours looks like?! thanks a million as always!! Maybe one day soon I will get something I can send to you- haha!

Sadly enough, she is probably right- 150 people is probably too many to have a free for all, lol. I only have 40 people- 14 of which are in the wedding party so the rest will have 4 tables to choose from- first come first serve, lol.

Who is the ebay seller you bought the charms from? These look great- I'm making Boarding passes for my actual invites to those who are attending the wedding in Mexico.
