There is not an additional cost for a sit down private dinner - but it is only offered inside in one of the ballrooms, you cannot have a sit down dinner outside, only buffet menus. 17. I HIGHLY doubt tthey will allow you to do this as that would be incredibly confusing and complicated for the resort and your guests. They tried to argue with me that I could not have my wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Sun Palace while my fiance, my guests and myself are staying at Moon Palace- so if you can get them to agree- more power to you! 22. I believe the only discounts you get when you book through a member is discounts on rooms, airport transportation and an extra mani and pedi, you do not receive extra discounts on wedding related things.

Not me- my 2 months isn't until Sunday!! I had a mini freak out moment a few days ago after my first bridal shower- like holy crap I'm almost at the 2 month mark and I have a list of things I still need to do- plus we are closing on our house on Oct 12, so the whole month of Oct will be consumed with moving and house stuff...ahhhh!!! Crazy life! lol.

Glad to hear!! If you are persistant and tell them that you will get what you originally were told- they cave- they want to make sure they have happy brides- even though they fail to realize they are stressing us out in the meantime!

Six weeks?!?! Wow- scary and exciting all at the same time!! Worked on addressing the wedding invitations last night- should be able to print the last tonight and then get them in the mail before next weekend which is the 2 month mark for me!!

I never signed a contract- my wedding is at Sun Palace on November 23, 2012 and I booked in Feb and at that time they did away with the contracts. So I guess they brought them back?!

Wow that is a lot- hope you registered for a lot!!! I was quoted $200 for everything to set up when I had my Miami WC, and I haven't mentioned it to my new WC. I figured I'll have all my emails in case my onsite WC tries to charge me more once I get to Mexico, but until then- I'm not bringing it up unless she says something to me, lol. At this point I don't care what they say- I'm doing it anyways, haha.

I'm doing the complimentary package. I am bringing down chair sashes and table runners. And then I have aisle decorations for the ceremony. Trying to be simple as the view will already be beautiful!! Exciting- how many showers do you have? I have my first one next Sunday. I'm having 3, lol. One with my fiances' side of the family, one with my side of the family/friends and then I will most likely have one at work.

Congrats to all the 2013 brides- be sure to check out the MP 2012 brides thread- there is a TON of information on it. Hopefully commincation will be better for all of you with the changing the wedding dept from Miami to Cancun. Right now it is terrible as no one in Cancun knows anything, but I think after about 6 months in business you all will be fine!

Hi and welcome!! I hope your planning has been going well- I'm a fellow Palace bride! I'm getting married at Sun Palace and everything has been a little hetic with the wedding dept changing to Cancun from Miami. Planning is going well- you can see from my previous messages I got a lot done last weekend. This weekend is my friend' bachelorette party- so I won't be doing anything wedding related other than maybe attempting to start addressing my invitation envelopes.

I feel your frustrations...he is very hit and miss with emails. I just continue to resend the same email every day and he'll eventually get back to you- if you read from previous reviews- this is what he does- he's on Mexican time and even though it takes forever to respond to your emails, you will get your beautiful flowers on your wedding day!
