Sorry...just wanted to give you a heads up-check with Palace and Zungia- our wedding was on Isla Mujeres (a small island off of Cancun) so maybe the transportation/set up/etc. was more expensive for us-----can't hurt to ask! And just get it in writing....I got "don't worry about it" alot with working with vendors...just ask again and they will put it in writing for you :-) good luck!

Oh...we also used Zungia for decorations but just a "heads up" that the set up fee/transportation fee is not cheap! I think it was aprox an additional $900.00 for us for staff to set up/break down/transport/etc. They did a great job- my contact was Lily-but keep that in mind when you are doing your budget- we used them for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and they tried to charge us $900.00 a night! We were able to get that price down since we told them we wouldn't use them for both nights without a deal. Good Luck!

I do know that Palace often charges additional for beach set up because it is a more "difficult" space to set up- I would check it out because I think it is a per person fee additional-----also just a suggestion----if you are having an event on the beach bring bug spray for your guests :-)

I can't believe about the tax now for Palace Resorts- do you have to pay the tax upfront or is it just taken out of your credit?

I ordered my labels from VistaPrint (where I got lots of my items) with the saying "to have and to hold, to shield you from the cold"----they were a big hit!

Love your STD- we sent out STD too and then sent an additional "welcome" letter to those that RSVP'd "yes" with luggage tags- it was a grea idea (from here of course) and our guests that didn't know eachother found eachother in the airport in Cancun because of our tags- made it fun for everyone!

We just got back and "Yes" customs was asking about the flip flops we brought for the OOT bags- they wanted to know how much we were going to sell them for in Mexico- after some explaining they understood it was for a wedding but of course it made me nervous! We did have 65 pairs of flip flops though so I guess it did look suspicious.

Hi Ladies- just FYI the Aloe was a big hit at my wedding- most people forgot to pack that and it is really expensive in Mexico- I got mine from Minimus Biz---people were grateful!

This is probably only helpful for NYC Brides but I got mine in the Garment District in NYC- they were $2.25 each and they have TONS of colors- maybe I should start a pashmina shipping business-lol my wedding guests LOVED them though- great idea!
