Hi Royalbride610
I understand what you mean cuz although my wedding is in 2012 I'm already dealing with sooooooo much stress over the guest list and who will actually attend. I even battled with maybe second guessing my decision and having the wedding at home but my FI tells me "Is that what you really want" and answer is "NO" my dream is to get married in a beautiful beach and have a beautiful reception right on the beach so it kind of sucks cuz if noone comes.. is there gonna be a First dance? no throw of the garter? the traditional things so I'm just soo confused.. Although like you said you are marrying each other and that's what's important.. If it means anything to your loved ones they will make an effort to go.. )

I'm pretty sure that none of them will be attending... I'm kind of upset about it because so many people told us that they would be coming, but then waited until this month to check prices and realized that prices had sky rocketed.
I explained this soooo many times, but obviously they didn't take it seriously... In a way it makes me sad knowing that none of our family members will be there, but I'm happy that we'll have an intimate ceremony. Besides, we're only marrying each other anyway!
Anyone else not having any guests?
Thanks!

Hi Twillia2
Welcome to the forums, I am soooooo thankful to have found this website because it s is soooo helpful. Anywho I am planning my wedding for July 14, 2012 at The Royal Cancun, Now i have a question for you.. Have you ever been to the Royal? and I agree I thouhgt it would be easier to plan a DW but soo not the case its so hard not having control. so i dont know all the answers to your questions but i will try
1: Whose the photographer for the Royal Cancun? From what i heard they use Funever Photos some people say they do a good job and other say the opposite so its kind of hard to tell if they would work for what your looking for (if photos and video is something really important to you) I have heard of Ivan Luckie and Del Sol Photography that are really good but depending on your budget since also if the reosrt doesnt use them you will need to pay a vendor fee of $350.00 plus ost of photos
2: Will I be able to taste my cake before I have to decide? Does the cake taste good? Im sure they will let you taste it when you meet before the wedding
3: Will I be able to taste the food before I have to decide?
4: Does the resort have a vendors list? Im not sure but you can email the resort, which that is on my list to get a list of vendors if i get it i will forward it to you via PM
5: Do you make all the decisions when you get to the resort? No, you will be assiged a WC and you communicate via email or phone
6: Where can you get hair & makeup other than their spa? There is a mall down the street from the resort they have a store which is like a macy's im sure you can go there for it
7: Are there any real pictures of weddings for this resort? This there are definetly lacking of, you can go on tripadvisor and check out pics.. also on youtube they have some videos..
Hope all this helps, if anything PM me.. I have been to the royal twice.. LOVE IT!!!

I'm pretty sure there's a forum for the questions I'm about to ask but I simply can not find them. I'm attempting to plan a wedding in Cancun Mexico. I say attempting because right now I have no clue what I'm doing. So I thought having a destination wedding would be less fuss, easy breezy! Well, so far it has been hard not knowing what the end product is going to look like. I'm hoping there are other brides on this site that are going through the same thing or have already experienced having a wedding at this particular resort. I have a few questions:
1: Whose the photographer for the Royal Cancun?
2: Will I be able to taste my cake before I have to decide? Does the cake taste good?
3: Will I be able to taste the food before I have to decide?
4: Does the resort have a vendors list?
5: Do you make all the decisions when you get to the resort?
6: Where can you get hair & makeup other than their spa?
7: Are there any real pictures of weddings for this resort?

It looks like a great hotel and the reviews on trip advisor are excellent it's rated number 2 hotel in Cancun. I'm sure your wedding will be perfect.
What date are you planning on getting married we might be at the hotel the same time?

I agree with you..I have purchased my dress and my wedding is 17 months away!!!! but I absoloutly Love it and its soo "beachy" yet stylish its perfect.. and I actually have no desire to try on more.. I do wish i had tried on more prior to finding the dress since i only tried on about 7 dresses and let me tell you those 7 dresses were doing nothing for me lol so once i put THe one on everyone at the bridal shop were like "awww,. thats it.. no need to try on more" abnd i completly agreed.. ) cant believe i have to wait sooooo long to wear it!!!!!! i want to try it on every day lol...

I'm obsessed with my dress, but my eye has definitely wandered at times - I just keep reminding myself of how perfect it is for my style of wedding (beach, Mexico, AHR back here afterwards) and smack myself on the hand for wanting to go try more on! Lol

Ive been struggling with the name change but have decided to take His name. I was holding on to my last name since Its all I have left of my father who passed away when i was 11 but His family has NEVER tried to make an attempt to be part of my life so I feel like although he's part of me I'm not proud of his family at all so I will always know who I am and know that I was born with his last name and He would want me to be happy I don't need to carry his name to know I am and will always be his daughter It will be EXTREMELY hard to officially change it as I am already crying about it but I want to take on my FI last name and so does he although he understand if i don't want to but I will...I also thought of having my last name as my middle since i have none but i don't want any confusions and growing up without a middle name and all of a sudden have one just don't want to get used to it and i don't want to hyphenate my name because I just dint want to..lol... So Mrs Perez i will be.....
