  1. Great... Thank you! I was thinking of driving a little ways to another one to try them out too. I appreciate your help!
  2. Looking for a few extra silver luggage tags from Michaels... I ran out and my local Michaels does not seem to carry them anymore. Does anyone have any??
  3. Everything looks amazing!! I love the wood A & J... you did a fabulous job. Congrats!!
  4. WOW you have alot of guest!! It should be fun! I can not wait to hear all about it... when are you there? We get to the Grand June 4th, though you may be gone by then.
  5. Once again I love EVERYTHING!!! You did an amazing job! Thanks for coming back and adding some picture of the final product. I am so happy for you both that you have the page in the guestbook from your brother-in-law to cherish forever, how touching!! Did you create the design for your guestbook from scratch? I am so torn on what to do for the guestbook
  6. I purchased a calling card for $5.... it has been very helpful in the planning process. You can get them at gas stations
  7. Refer to the wedding contract issued for 2012 policies. It is in there I am pretty sure! That is nuts!!!
  8. After debating for weeks if I should jump in and buy insanity... I finally did today. Thank you so much ladies for all you comments, motivation, and updates... it really helped in my decision. Hopefully I will get it soon and get on the workout plan!
  9. Janielle said you either pay the buffet fee or just $70pp for a la carte. But it would be a pre-selected menu. If you are thinking about doing a la carte... I would email her and ask that exact question, so you can have it in writing, in case you have to dispute the final bill.
  10. I have been in love with PINTEREST for a few weeks now, I think I have put all my friends on. Thank gosh for BDW and Pinterest, it is a blessing in this planning process!! http://pinterest.com/shanursunshine/wedding/
  11. awesome.... thanks for sharing!! Have you tried using it yet? I was wondering if you could use multiples
  12. No problem! I know I wish I could too, I was thinking it is going to be a LONG break for everyone. I originally had my ceremony for 4, but I think I am going to push it back to 5. The old policy was 630-1030 reception (i now feel like we are being cheated because it will be so short). I am not doing a formal cocktail hour but I am highly encouraging the guests to go to the lobby bar and telling them that is the cocktail hour. I was thinking of asking Janielle if I could have a small table set up there for the guestbook. That way people will feel more like a cocktail hour. I know time will fly for us, with the picture but I am kind of worried about the guest... that is a LONG time for people to tie one on, lol. Is it extra for the the extra time of the ceremony? Are you going with the resort DJ? I asked about who would MC the reception, and she said one of my guests, which I doubt anyone would sign up for. So hopefully he will!
  13. Janielle told me if I wanted a la carte I could pay just the per person fee and not the $3000. So if you did that you would only have to pay $3700 but than you would not have a buffett you would have a pre-selected menu (which could be a hassle). I just think it sucks to have to pay so much for the reception when all the guests are paying to stay there anyways (but we have already beat that issue dead).
  14. For the brides who have had or are planning to have a private reception... how many paper lanterns did you use for decorations?
  15. Oh how kool! How in the world did they do they? Technology at it's best... what a great idea!
  16. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing... your photographer did a great job capturing the happiness, beauty, and love! Congrats
  17. I agree... GORGEOUS!!! You look fabulous! Congrats Perry 1217
  18. At my bridal salon they allowed my mom to practice multiple times, so she will not panic the day of, so now she feels confident she will enlist some help and have no problem. I preferred the corset because I felt like it pulled me in and gives the dress and extra flare. As long as you have a main person that will help you get it right and is willing to practice (before the day of), than go for it!!
  19. I emailed the WC regarding the private reception pricing and she informed me.... If you do a la carte menu it is $70/pp on top of the $3000. As for the DJ, I originally had DJ Kevan book, and he said he would MC, but was forced to cancel him as the WC told me he would not be allowed. (they have since then changed the policy on that... ). I asked Janielle if the resort DJ would MC and what kind of equipment he uses, as she refuses to give me his info to contact him. She did not tell me what kind of equipment he would supply but she said "normally" someone from the bridal party MC's the wedding (who would want to do that, I don't know), but if I did not have anyone she would have him do it. EVERYTHING is so VAGUE!!!
  20. They look fabulous!! So professional!! Thank you for sharing "how-to," I was thinking about doing this for my welcome documents! Very good... I am impressed!
  21. Does anyone by chance have table numbers written in the sand? I know it was available before on the forum but I can not seem to find it now. let me know, thanks!
