  1. I thought you were joking for a min... i dont think it's plain at all. Very sophisticated.
  2. ohh and I forgot to mention BCBG makes some very cute dresses! http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270855498538&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123#ht_500wt_1094
  3. ohh thanks for the heads up!! Never heard of the Voyage collection before.
  4. Your speaking my mind!! I can't seam to find a super fun beachy dress in natural fibers (full length) that I like. All the "beach casual" dresses are made of polyester and made cheaply. Since you are looking for a shorter dress, try Lilly Pulitzer, she makes superb quality palm beach wear.
  5. Nassau and freeport are great, if your looking for something more off the beaten path, try Abaco. I'm gettign married in Treasure Cay, Abaco. It's much more laidback less city like.
  6. I wish this thread would come back to life! I am curious as well how long it took for it to be made.
  7. Sending my STDs 10 months in advance with the invites 6 months in advance... RSVPs 4 months in advance. If you send it too early people will forget.
  8. Love the style that you chose for the postcard. I am trying to find a similar style for the Bahamas and can't find a really fun design.
  9. I love this video! And the vows and readings were very fitting for a destination wedding.
  10. Dresses usually photograph better in Ivory, you can see more detail in the dress. But its harder to find the right shade of ivory men's shirts... touch call.
  11. Hey ladies- I found a dress while searching destination wedding dresses. I love this dress and I really hope I can find the name of the designer. Any help of the designers name, or if you have seen a dress like this. Please feel free to comment. Ps- I found this dress from this blog post (already contacted the blog writer) http://blog.weddingpaperdivas.com/sweet-seaside-wedding/ I am filled with mixed emotions, I love the dress, but I cant find it! Thanks for you help!
  12. I love it!! Do know if the shoulder strap could be removed? What are you asking?
  13. It's pretty easy to get around in a Golf Cart. I have read some bad reviews about restaurants there and were shocked, I didnt have the same experiences. The review I read almost sounded like they were expecting high class luxury - TC is luxurious in surroudings for sure. I love Touch of Class, they serve some unique Bahamian food that you cant find other places. It takes a while to get your food at times, but they always seat you and them bring out bread. I'm pretty sure its because they make it to order. I LOVE Cocoa Bar's lunch, they have very good conch fritters!! Bahamian food is very good pretty much everywhere you go on all the out islands. Make sure you go to Nippers while your there too and if you see conch in the bag on the menu- get it your in for a real treat. It's the number 1 thing I miss from there. If your craving American food- cook it at your cottage. Talking about all this food is making me hungry I hope you get to visit before your wedding day!
  14. Hey Nancy, My fioncee's family is from there, and long story short... thats where we fell in love. - I blame it on it pina coladas at the Cocoa Bar. Have you been to TC before? I feel like some of the pics on websites make it look more luxurious than it really feels, its more of a rustic hideway for the wealthy- still very nice tho. It's secluded and very pretty. Our plans are not set in stone, but we are planning on having our guests stay at the resort and rent cottages at the villas. We are expecing about 20-30 guests coming from the US and another 20 from Abaco. We are creating an 1 week itenerary for our guests, its a great way to spend a vacation together. What month are you looking at?
  15. dont settle!! photos and video will be the only thing I have after the wedding.. you should be happy!!
  16. I love Treasure cay- I'm getting married there- on a private beach, and them reception at TC Resort- not Bahama Beach Club. If you go anywhere in the tropics you will need to change planes from Mass anyhow. You can get direct flights from Florida to Treasure Cay, sometimes they stop in Marsh harbour, but there isn't really any chance for your luggage to be lost from that stop since its such a small plane. It's not like here in the US when your bags could be traveling on another plane. Bahamas Air is the best comercial plance or try Charakee Air- a bit more expeinsive but I can bring my dogs on without a cage. If that is all your worried about- I say GO FOR IT! It's a real short flight from FL to TC.
