  1. Hi Jamicanmecrazy (I LOVE that name!!) I'm not sure how close everything is, I may be going to a destination wedding next April. Not sure when your wedding is. but I 'll make sure to report back to you
  2. ohh this is fun! What about Key Lime Pie or Key Lime or if you want to be proper Cay Lime as they spell Kay with a 'c' Or Hammock Lime- Hammock is an Bahamian Indian name. OR Tilloo Tangereen (Tilloo is a really pretty beach in the Bahamas- a native Bahamian Indian name too!)
  3. I love it! An italian style reception in Nassau!! While I have been to Luciano's, I heard it's great. We tend to stick to Bahamian food when were there (my fioncee has to go to Nassau once a year for business). I had no idea that that the catholic church would let you get married in a diffrent church than your own. They always seam so inflexiable. Thats great tho. I bet it's really old and pretty, like alot of the old buidlings around there.
  4. Thats a great idea! That is pretty much what I was thinking anyhow. I feel like everyone has done the passports- but they are soo cute! I'm trying to think of a new twist on them to make them my own. I saw a passport cover that had been embosed in a thin canvas for the cover.... http://pinterest.com/pin/270427152594897468/ or printing on berlap http://pinterest.com/pin/243264817341706896/ Sorry miss Bubble- It's a pintrest link and I know you cant open it at work
  5. I'm sooo with you! It's hard to stay motavated. We try to set a goal and dont allow each other to "slack" on that goal. Not only am I getting married in 7 months, but my high school reunion is in 2 months- I guess I better start crunch time!
  6. Thanks!! It's been stressful! but thats because we had some problems with our orignal venue... hopefully smooth sailing from here on out.
  7. Ohh I love those bags!! They would fit my theme soo much! too bad we dont have dollarrama here. LOL I have decided at this point not to do OOT bags, but I still want to do sometimng for the bridal party. I love those starfish!
  8. Good call! I couldn't tell what they heck they were!!
  9. I've heard great things from Bikram. But remember with all workouts, your gonna see best results when you eat a healthy diet too!
  10. I agree- but I'm sure they have a reason for this... ohh well, keep posting an dyou will get it soon enough.
  11. I'm trying to figure out how to design a passport invite and send out only the outside flap to people who RSVP'd no or maybe... so that I'm only sending the detailed info to the people who I know are going and need the info. But anyone can still get the travel info by going online too. Im having my designer friend design the passport and then use a pro printer and put and put together myself, so I guess you could call it semi DIY.
  12. We fell in love with the postcard idea, and we love old maps we wanted to give it a vintage feel. So we had our friend wip up something based on what we saw online. We had it printed from http://www.morningprint.com/ on some really nice textured paper, total with shipping for 200 was $70. I haven't received them yet but I will post pics after my addressing party I'm having on Friday night. We also decided to do a pre-rsvp. We are inviting alot of people who we know cannot come, so we are only sending expensive invites to those who RSVP - plus the elders and other important people. We are also thinking of sending out a lighter less detailed invited to the people who RSVP no or maybe, just to be curitous. What do you think? we are at the 7 month mark and I'm starting to freak out!
  13. We are deff doing a pre-rsvp and saying you will only get an invite if you pre-rsvp yes. We will still send out invites to the older folks who do not use the computer, but our invites are soo expensive, we think we will send out a thinner invite to the no's- or maybes...
  14. Noo I read somewhere else it was 200 posts.... But This clearly says 150. I guess we will both see soon enough!!
  15. I LOVE that dress, I actually looked at that one, but thought it would make my hips stick out too much, you look gorgious in it!!
  16. ohh I love what you did with those menues. Was that a DIY project?
  17. I hear to keep some powder or tissue so that you can blot away any shiney... Also I know that airbrush foundation stays much longer than traditional makeup- I'm pretty sure there is no one on my island - where I'm getting married- has it... but maybe they have that on yours.
  18. Two things you you need to know is ONE: do you like their work? and TWO: do you like the person who will be shooting? It's all about how you feel about the person taking the photos that will really affect your photos. Go with your gut and see if your gut is swaying you. I am bringing a photographer from home because I know my fioncee is very shy and knowing the person ahead of time will make it easier for all of us. I know its a tough to find that perfect match. It should feel like when you knew that dress was the one... which BTW is still on my to-do list...
  19. What I have found is that the satin dress has multipal layers. Satin doesnt seam to breath well, plus it wrinkles easy (you will be traveling with it) I sounf that silk, organza, lace and other flowy fabrics will hold up much better than satin.
  20. I am having each one of my wedding part attendants pick a color... two of the girls will be wearing paints with shirts like the boys... Most of the pics are on my pintrest board: http://pinterest.com/KeyMomentFilms/bridal-party/
  21. Soo glad you put this on top again so I found this. For some reason I read it was 200 posts.. I'm soo close. Thanks again!
  22. yea! Welcome it's a fun ride this is a greta place to enjoy the journey!
