  1. Yes, I have read the same thing, to be out on the terrace because it is private and has a great view I believe...I'm hoping this will still be available when we finalize details. Did you all pick the specifics like that (location of ceremony and reception) before you went down there?
  2. Oh it's so great to hear from someone who got married there recently! sgray, I was actually just looking thru your pics and they are beautiful...and I believe you said you used the resort photographer or no? I am planning on doing this as well...don't really have $$ in budget to hire an outside one. Also, I was wondering if there was any specific restaurant you liked best? We are having a very small group coming so we'll just be doing dinner in one of the restaurants as our reception (didn't really feel we had enough ppl to do a private reception). One more question for you, was the weather in December ok? I was worried it might not be 'warm enough'... I did take time to read thru the entire thread...it took days upon days upon days, but it was DEF worth it in the end!! I learned sooo much!
  3. Hey all! I'm just learning my way around this site, but it seems VERY helpful so far!! We are getting married at ASP on December 10, 2011...just signing and sending our wedding contract this week and then it will be 'official'! The FI and I went to Mexico this past December to tour different resorts and decide where we wanted to have the wedding. I had never been to Mexico or an all-inclusive so it was ALL new to me. His parents were Palace members and absolutely LOVED ASP!!! So we decided to go with it...as I said, I'm new, so I just wanted to join a thread
  4. I have been looking at Playacar Palace for our destination wedding as well...we actually just went to visit the resort about a month ago! I've been considering January 2012 as well...it's just too early to research that date right now! Do you know alot about the resort or have mostly done your research online? I'm from PA as well...Allentown area, so we are kind of neighbors!! One concern I just came across is that on the Palace wedding website it said that civil/legal ceremonies are performed in Spanish only and an interpretor is available...this surprised me?!??
