    I just emailed him for pricing but I def think he super well known and they will def recognize him. He has amazing reviews like everywhere here, travel advisor...havent seen or heard of one negative thing. Yea you might be right about trying to slip the DJ a lil extra and trying to game him a bit with the espanol Lol. I hear ya about Tropical Pictures they definetly have stepped up their game a bit over the last 6 - 8 months. I think they will do a great job! I am planning on using them for videography services but they cant seem to send me any sample videos. I have only seen 2 and cant find one bride anywhere that has used them for that service...so to say I am a bit hesitant is an understatment.     MissJalli: Did you decide to go with Tropical Pictures? Does anyone have DJ Mannia's pricing I saw in a past post from a BBPD bride that she used him at her reception and just paid his stay for the night? Maybe there is some work around for the outside vendor thing? Just seems to "chancey" what do you guys think?

    Bibi there is a BBPD thread and it really does answer every single question you may have. As I am sure you have figured out communication to the WC at the resort is quite time consuming. The pier is an additional $500 and from what I hear well worth it. The gazebo is indeed smack dab in the middle of the resort and in between the beach and the resort. I found when we did our site visit there was a bit more traffic in this area than if we did a beach ceremony, which we ultimately decided to do. Depending on you package it may or not be included for no additional fee. I would dedicate a few hours and go through the thread though. Good luck and congrats!

    How much pp did the transfers come out to going through them MissJalli? We are paying for all our guests transfers and so I plan to use these people https://dominicanairporttransfers.com/default.aspx I have about 13 guests arriving on the same flight and it came out to $8.00 pp one way for a private shuttle staight to the hotel.

    Candace I am having a symbolic wedding on a Saturday and got a 4:00 ceremony time. The only thing I can think of is that they have other weddings booked that day?

    Ugh I missed this one, please keep me posted should another go on sale. Yes, thats the only downside to them is you have to use the entire credit in one transaction.

    Good luck! It's a gorgeous dress! Not sure if you saw my pics but I brought it from DHGate for my TTD and its so close to the original and it cost like $147! Just an option...have fun and keep me posted =)

    Candacey: I have a few pictures I can share from our site visit last February, whats your email address? Also I would say although there may be a few onlookers for a beach ceremony the gazebo is literally in the middle of the resort. There are a ton of people who are walking through this area to get to and from the beach and resort area. I think the garden area is probably your most private area in terms of ceremony. As you may know I dont believe the rooftop area is an option for the reception but it is an option for the cocktail hour for an additional $500. There is also an additional fee to hold the reception on the beach and keep in mind things such as the dance floor and lighting are all extras. 11:00 is wayyy to early and I would def be up in arms about being forced to do it at that time. Unless your having a catholic ceremony and this is the only time the priest is available I would opt for a 4-5 ceremony. As you mentioned what would your guests do all day long until your evening reception? Natalie: I am also working on our pre-travel brochure and some things I included that you may want to include is that although the reservation is paid in full the resort keeps a card on file for incididentals. They DO NOT however put a hold on it, they just keep it on file. Dont forget the $10 entrance fee into DR as well contacting banking/cc companies to advise of international travel to avoid a hold on the cards. Also encourage guests to make reservations as they check in b/c they get full real quick...FYI: Dinner reservations for the specialty restaurants can be made once guests check in. Barcelo limits the number of dinner reservations made depending on your number of nights stay. For example: for 6 & 7 night stay, guests are allowed 4 dinner reservations for 5 night stay, guests are allowed 3 dinner reservations for 4 night stay, guests are allowed 2 dinner reservations MissJali: I know your not getting married until next year but I have to tell you airfare from NYC is outrageous, I would jump on it as soon as they go on sale. We brought a few months ago which was still about 5-6 months out and we still paid close to $600rt pp!

    Okay girls my Allure knockoff arrived yesterday and I have to say although the vendor never sent pictures and I was totally clueless the dress arrived within 3 days and was pretty damn close! Of course there are a few flaws but its absolutely perfect for the purpose of the TTD and I am super pleased!! I have since placed 3 more orders for dresses, hopefully I will get the same results. It did have a bit of a stinky smell to it, almost like vinegar which a bit weird...LOL This is how it arrived... The beading was clearly different and of course the quality of the beads they used but everything was well sewn in. It was surprisingly even lined... The other thing to keep in mind is sizing. I am typically a size 6 but I ordered it an 8 with the intentions of having it altered here because I rather it be too big then too small and it fit like a glove. I am glad I went a size bigger. This was the original from the designer website....all in all I am very pleased and def would recommend this vendor. For $150 you cant beat it!!

    I got the deluxe bags and I am happy with the size, they are definetly big enough to fit a substantial amount of things in them and th quality although lighter than I would have expected for the price was perfect. I definetly would not pay the full price for them though. If you can get your hands on a groupon its definetly the way to go for sure!

    Okay ladies so I ordered an Allure knock off for my TTD from Babyonline about 2-3 weeks ago. They said it would ship probably towards the end of March so I didnt think much of it when I didnt hear from them. Prior to placing the order Sunny and I discussed receiving pictures BEFORE it shipped! I received an auto-generated email on Monday saying the dress shipped! I emailed Sunny and of course the dress shipped and she has no pictures to send me. Furious doesnt even explain how I feel about this. As I anxiously await the package and cross my fingers and hope for the best I would highly suggest that you stay in contact with your vendors after a week or 2 and start requesting pictures despite the anticipated completion date they give you. My mistake was that since they said end of March for an estimated completion date I kinda took the back seat thinking it was too soon for pics all the while it was pretty much done and getting bagged up to be shipped out. I will be sure to send pics when it arrives.

    So I received confirmation from DHGate that my knock off Allure dress was shipped. I am furious that babyonline would ship the dress without sending me pictures! For those brides that purchased dresses from babyonline...did you receive pictures before it shipped? I just went in on them via email, I thought I made it clear that although they could not committ to mid production pictures they were supposed to send me pictures before it shipped. So worried

    Thanks TDawn!!! MissJalli: I actually recently ordered the Allure dress from a DHGate vendor for my TTD. I am waiting on pictures. Will keep you posted when I get them. I also believe AquaTracie had the same Allure dress for her bridal dress. Can probably check with her as well.
