Thanks Natalie! What is the cost for the extra hour? From what I gather that is normal, my wedding is in May and I havent been asked anything yet it either. It appears from all the past brides that all this remains undecided until you meet with your WC the few days prior to your date to work out details.
Did you opt for the full DJ service of $700 something?

Curls welcome back!!!!! Looking forward to your review. I too sent you a request on FB under Tamara.

Ladies: Is anyone making a program for the wedding day? If so, what time are you anticipating having your wedding. I thought 4:00 would be good since the sunset on my wedding day is 7:00. Figure one hour cocktail hour and shoot for like a 7:00 reception? Still think there might be too much time in between the end of the cocktail hour and the time the reception starts. The package includes 3 hours are most extending it an additional hour?
For those who had their weddings already what did your schedule look like in terms of times??

Reign banquet style dinner is included in the Tangerine Package: Your entitled to pick one of each. You can give your guests options but of course they charge you above your primary choice. For instance you get one choice, lets say chicken then anyone who has fish or meat is $16 per person per plate. If you opt for either the fish or meat for your primary anyone who eats chicken $10. Same applies for the soup and salad options but of course are different prices. The buffet options are even more and I believe have a minimum amount of people and those packages start at $40. I will try and find the menu and attach it here.

Tomato salad with goat cheese pesto dressing

Capresse salad
Curried marinated chicken and tomato salad

Has anyone heard from Susanna lately? I emailed her well over a week and a half ago and still no answer? Which is a bit unlikely as her communication turn around time has been a week at most. Really hoping that she still works there...

Miss Jalli: Just emailed my TA will keep you posted on what she says!

Punta Bride...$8.50 per bag is alot! Here is a picture of my welcome bags , they are pretty big and are also canvas. I got them from Vistaprint and are totally customizable. There is also a $17 for $70 worth of merchandise Groupon today for them. Thats how I purchased these and they came out to next to nothing.
And here is the link to the Groupon:

Can you upload some pictures?

Miss Jalli...hmm I wonder? I am sure they will shut that down but I suppose its worth a shot. Any one else try and bring their own music system for "the walk" at the ceremony?
Reign: I visited the resort in Feb of last year and although I didnt see the rooms in the adults only section I can say that it is an entirely seperate area. It is a bit of a hike and too far to walk atleast for us it was. They do have a trolley that runs throughout the day that takes guests throughout both resorts. The property inclusive of both areas is huge, they are however considered one resort and so if you stay at the adults only section you have access to the palace side. If you stay at the palace side you DO not have access to the adults section. Its absolutely a preference thing since their are no kids there I would assume it is in fact relaxing and quiet but they dont have a seperate club like the palace does, but they have lounges. $200 cheaper is a siginificant difference might be worth it. I am sure one of the other brides that stayed there can get into more detail. If your planning on having your reception in Bar Higuey it is in fact located on the adults only area. Hope that helps!

Anyone found a work around for the stereo system for the ceremony? $480 daaaaammmn seems like a lot?
-
Connie do you have pics of your dress from Babyonline (DHGATE)?
-
Aqua and Coco can you please tell me what shade of blue you used from the attached swatches? I am having such a hard time matching colors to a PDF grrr. Also, upon check in the resort gives all guests lil goodies right? If I understand correctly there are passes in each bag for the water park for the kids. Is this per bag or for only the guests that have children? Is it a free pass or discounted off the original $20 per day?
I know this has been answered previously but how much is it to have some sort of a sound system during the ceremony? I know it was a ridiculous price but I have always dreamnt of walking down the aisle to Canon D and trying to justify the expense.
Ladies, thoughts on the colored linen napkins? Think they are $3 a napkin and I am hoping to bring them with us but again its about matching the color to the resort color. Think its a nice touch for the tables but not sure.
Coco or WTurner, have you had any luck with uploading your videos that Tropical Pictures did? I am so anxious to see a video! Fingers crossed..

Buy a calling card and call them. I was always able to reach someone via telephone.

CocoHolly: My apologies if you already answered this but what did you do for centerpieces? Do you have a picture? If you got them through the resort what did they cost? Thanks!
-
Awesome review!!! Thanks!!! Did you have your reception in the ballroom or in bar higuey? What did you do for your centerpieces, did you bring them? Food choices for the reception? Have any special decor in the reception area?
-
Coco...thanks a bunch!! Any chance you can share the video that TP did. You said their prices went up, how so and by how much? So dissapointed to hear about the beach gazebo...wonder if they can control it somehow. As I really had my heart set on a beach gazebo ceremony =( b/t/w pics are amazing!
Did you have a welcome party? Did you have Welcome bags if so did the WC have them placed in your guests rooms. Weather...did you check the weather before you went. It seems like whenever I check it regardless of the time of year it says rain? How was the actual weather in regards to what the internet said it was going to be?

Well after going back and forth about ordering a knock off dress for $100 I came across this dress from Davids Bridal for $29.99. Ummm yea right up my alley and I plan to only really wear it after the reception when we continue to party and go to the club. Really cant beat the price and jazz it up with hot shoes and maybe a birdcage. Anywhere here it is.

Chrystine...let me know if you have any luck. Just hoping they go down after the holidays!
