I will say that initially I was seriously considering Paradisus and I had to go through destionweddings.com and their WC and they left a bad taste in my mouth. Although the resort was beautiful once we sat down for our site visit EVERYTHING was extra in any event as such I chose BBPD. I think the majority of us are dealing with the WC directly at the resort and have a seperate person (travel agent) handling the travel arrangments for our guests. You can reach Marlene who heads up the wedding department at BBPD at [email protected] Then she will assing you one of the WC. Wow!! Unacceptable and a huge inconvenience! I would absolutely buy a calling and call and speak to Marlene (top dog). Emphasis how you made the reservations months ago and have already ordered your invitations, furthermore WTF are your guests suppose to do until your evening time reception?!? Natalie: I will tell you that I emailed Tropical Pictures probably over a dozen times over a 2-3 month period and not one response from them! After that I was like there is no way I am going to put my wedding pictures in their hands if they cant even return emails! This day will never be able to be played back and 20 years from now all I will have are my pics. Not to mention although they have a website and their pics seem nice I had a hard time finding brides that used them. I assumed of course they would have the best pics on their website needless to say a personal review from one of our brides is what I was looking for. Not to mention their prices (attached) were a bit steep. As such I also hired a photographer out of NY and will be covering all her expenses in exchange for coverage of my ENTIRE week. Inclusive of TTD, Welcome party and full wedding day. I however do recall a bride on this thread that was able to book them through her WC, even so I am the one that will be paying you, I am the customer I shouldnt have to go through a WC! I am thinking of using them for videography services though only because I dont have a choice and I really want a video. Has anyone used or heard of Wedit?! http://www.wedit.com/ They mail you 5 HD cameras and you give them to people in your party. They record the duration of the day/week from different perspectives then you mail the cameras back and they edit it into a video. Actually pretty cool! Check it out and let me know what you guys think, as this is my plan b option for videography services if I dont go with Tropical Pictures. Not sure if i said it before but their policy for outside photographers is !!! I hate that they force you to use their photographer!! Grrrr

Awesome idea!! I had no idea up until right now about it. Looking forward to hearing about brides that have used the service. I just viewed a sample video and its pretty cool. The only thing I wasnt super crazy about is the music plays even through the ceremony. I would have liked to capture some of our vows?

I would def ask, as I dont believe that is acceptable but if it is then you just found a loop hole! On another note, the tables seem awfully plan with just the runner, bows and centerpieces. Did or is anyone planning on bringing things to jazz up the tables, chargers, napkin rings, IDK something?

Ladies, I finally decided that I love coral and turquoise/acqua. I havent quite decided on the exact shade of blue but it will be in the acqua/turqoise family. Anyway would love to share some ideas with you guys. Its been a bit challenging finding things in coral. Hoping to make my vision a beautiful and elegant reality. Coty if your bring your own music for the ceremony or cocktail hour you have to rent the system to play it on and its a ridiculous fee, well I thought so anyway. Sunny...just want to say thanks for coming back to help us out. Your insight and opinons have been most helpful =)

Bjeantil: I emailed her abd asked Included in my invoice was the DJ services for 3 hours, can you please confirm what this includes? DJ includes speakers, amplifier, microphone and a person who will be in charge of putting the music Also Hope this helps!

Natalie: As I understand from Susana you can pick your flowers. I have the Tangerine Package and she sent me 3 pictures of flowers/bouquet that I can choose from that is included in my package. From what I gather each package has a certain bouquet you can choose from with the Tangerine having the most options of 3 choices. LMK I can send you them to you if you want. Hope that helps! On another note: Sunny/Coco did you guys have floating candles in the pool area at bar Higuey? Just curious with the space how many would you need to make it look decent?

Ugh so of course I fell in love with a dress that the store only had in a pink color. Loved it so much that I brought it and now I am just chomping at the bit to see what it would look like in white. I tried photobucket and paint the more obvious computer programs and they didnt work but is anyone aware of a program or app that allows me to upload a pic and edit it. ie: changing the color maybe adding a sleeve, something like that?
