  1. This is one project I have been putting off just because it seemed like it was going to take forever and be a lot of work. I was wrong. I followed the directions found here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/57860/diy-tips-from-a-designer-iron-on-transfers There were only a few steps I had to tweak so it worked properly. - I tried to flip my image, but when It printed it printed the wrong way. I figured out that when I selected Tshirt transfer on my printer (Canon printer) that it automatically flipped the image for me. -I didn't use as long of a time to transfer the images onto the bags. I only used about 75 seconds per transfer. The first couple I did I used about double that time and it turned a bit yellow, I'm assuming it was starting to burn a bit. -I used a shelf from a bookcase (upside down) and covered it with a pillow case. I placed that on my kitchen table. (I didn't want to burn my kitchen table) If I could redo it: -I would place something, maybe a pillowcase, in the bag. I found that some of the bags the transfer kind of stuck to the opposite side of the bag. That may be because I wasn't using super high quality bags. -I would color my monogram completely with color so that there was no white areas in it. This way you won't get the glossy, yellowy glue looking space. I'm still happy with the results.I was really surprised that I didn't ruin any bags, I was prepared to ruin a couple. Here are a few pictures:

Welcome!! You will find tons of helpful information on here! It truly is an amazing site!
  4. Welcome!! We chose to do a civil ceremony as I wanted our wedding day in Jamaica to be the real wedding. I know some people choose the symbolic wedding just because it can be easier and cost less. As to when you arrive and can get married I found that it really is resort specific. I would contact the resort and find out from them their policy regarding this. Happy planning!
  5. Welcome! I'm glad he has started helping out, it really does make a difference!

  9. Welcome! There are tons of great resorts in the Mayan Riviera, you should have no problem finding one you love. I have been to a few resorts there for weddings and by far the nicest was the Grand Palladium. Im not sure if they do a poolside reception though. Good luck finding your dream resort!
  10. I'm sure a travel agent would be able to help you with this. And if not they may have some suggestions of places they have stayed or places they know of other people staying. Good luck with your planning!
  11. I'm no expert on Moon Palace and quite honestly dont know anything about that resort but just some suggestions. I would try to get a hold of the wedding coordinator at the resort. Thats where we started, we were able to get a list of available dates. That helped us narrow down the exact date we chose and the week we would travel. Try finding the moon palace thread on here and see if someone has the wedding coordinator email address! Happy planning:)
  12. I found when I first started using this site it was a little confusing to navigate, but after just playing around it seems to make things easier. It will get easier with time!
