  1. I just bought it at Staples. Its Avery brand and I bought the one for tshirts for light colors.
  2. Welcome! And congrats on your recent engagement! We had a really hard time deciding on a destionation for our wedding. We have family scattered all over Canada and wanted something that was easy to get to and relatively decent priced. We first looked at Maui, after a little research we found it was just going to be way to expensive, especially for guests coming from the Maritimes and Ontario. We also were leaning more towards an all inclusive resort for our wedding as we are in our mid 20s and our friends and family like to party, eat and drink. It seemed like the most cost friendly way to do things. We then started looking in Mexico, but as we want to be legally married, we found it is just a lot of work to have documents translated ect to get legally married in Mexico, plus we never really fell in love with a resort. We then found a resort in Jamaica that we have decided to get married at. For us one of the most helpful things was to write a list of what we were looking for ex. resort size, amenities provided, cost ect. We also used a travel agent to help us narrow down our search. By far choosing the destination and the resort was the most time consuming and stressful part of our whole wedding planning thus far. Good luck! You will find an amazing location for your dream wedding! Happy planning!
  3. Wow, amazing display of your pictures! I love the variety of frames you used!
  4. Your pictures are great!! Looks like you had a lot of fun!
  5. As people have already mentioned, its your wedding day and you need to wear what you want. Not what people tell you you should wear or what you think you should wear just because its a DW. I had an idea of what kind of dress I thought I wanted when I went to try on dresses and ended up with the complete opposite. I said I wouldn't have a ball gown, but guess what, I ended up with a ball gown. I was recently a bridesmaid for a close friend/coworker and she was adament that she was going to wear a short dress. She is quite tall, over 6 feet, and her fiance is about half a foot taller then her. She wasn't sure if she wanted a long dress because she felt like it would look baggy and look like way to much fabric. Because of that she had her mind set on a short dress. When we went with her to first try on dresses she didn't even want to try on the long dresses. After trying on a few short dresses she no longer wanted a short dress for her wedding as she said she didnt feel like a bride, but rather like she was going to any fancy party or event. She did end up purchasing a long dress, which I guess made her feel more like a bride. I think the best thing to do is to keep an open mind when you start dress shopping. Try on as many different styles, lengths, fabrics, colors, ect as you can so you know exactly what you want in your dress. And make sure you buy a dress because you love it, not just because you are getting married on a beach!!
  6. I have had a to do list right from the beginning of my planning, but I too feel like I will probably miss something big. What have you done so far for your month prior to your wedding?
  7. I too had a little laugh at that! Its so true. I would just keep it generic, not mention any names and just say thank you. They are travelling to be there for your special day, so I guess you have to thank them whether or not you feel they deserve it.
  8. Here is the one I made. Originally I had made one on vistaprint, but when I receieved them in the mail they looked aweful- the writing and colors were all smudged. Also, they didn't arrive in time. They refunded me all my money. Instead of re ordering from there, I just created my own on microsoft word. They dont look as professional as vistaprint ones, but I didn't want to wait another 21 days for them to reship them to me. I used cupcakes template and tweaked it to make it my own. Brochure.doc
  9. I'll probably look really silly jumping, however, I think it would be so much fun!!
  10. No changes, still the same. If anyone wants in on my little blue starfish feel free to message me!
  11. I'm so excited for January too!! 69 days until we leave for Jamaica, and 73 days until we get married!! I am planning on printing them all out and taking them with me. That way if they try to tell me something thats different from what I have in my emails, I will have the proof.
  12. Thats why they get paid a lot of money for what they do!!!
  13. I was thinking the same thing!! I will keep my eye out for some cute ones!
  14. Everything looks great. I love the color of the bridesmaid dresses!! And your dress is stunning!
  15. That card for your husband to be is so cute! What a neat idea. I may have to do something similar with our puppy!
  16. Welcome! I'm glad to hear things are working out after all. Its always a little nerve wracking to put down deposits for other people. We did the same, and thankfully didn't loose any money, but we had the potential to loose quite a bit.
  17. I really was not impressed with it, especially since I have ordered tons of other things from there and everything was good quality. I did have to start over. I tried my hardest to export what I made on vistaprint but just couldnt figure out how to do it (not sure if you can).
  18. Wow, I just checked out all your pins, Love them all! p.s. I followed you on pintrest!
  19. Congrats on your wedding in July!! They say that you should start taking folic acid at least 4 months prior to conception. You can have blood tests to test for Toxoplasmosis. You can get that from changing cat litter even when you aren't pregnant. Basically if they do the blood test to check for antibodies against the parasite. You will only test positve for these antibodies if you have previously been exposed and infected by the parasite. The results of your blood test will show how recent the exposure and infection from it is. If you are pregnant and become infected you have a chance of passing it on to your fetus. It can cause blindness and brain damage to a fetus, therefore you should limit your exposure to cat litter.
  20. We are using Merrick Coulsley. We think his pictures are amazing, and his prices can't be beat.
  21. We are getting married at 4pm and anticipate the ceremony being done around 430 pm. After that we are provided with a free champagne toasts. I wouldn't call it a cocktail hour. We could pay extra to have food, but we chose not to as dinner will be at 6pm. We will be gone for an hour or so taking pictures by ourselves and we havent honestly really planned anything for our guests. I feel that they can use the hour to go back to their room to freshen up, or to go have a drink at one of the bars, or to just relax before dinner and the party gets started!!
