  1. I would say make a list of what you are looking for in a resort, such as size, cost, amenities, ect. And also make a list of must haves for your wedding, such as outside venues or photographers, wedding packages available, costs, private reception available ect. That might help you decide between the two.
  2. Welcome! I am getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe in Jamaica and I couldnt be happier about our decision. Here are the email addresses for the wedding planners: Chandlyn (Wedding Coordinator) [email protected] Donnalee (Assistant Wedding Coordinator) [email protected] If you go to this thread here there is tons of information and pictures from this resort, plus lots of past and future brides with resort and wedding reviews, http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/51518/any-gran-bahia-principe-runaway-bay-brides-out-there/2860#post_1697863 You will find the wedding packages on there, pictures of bouquets, menus, costs, ect. Hope to see you there:)
  3. Thanks for sharing!! Your wedding looked fabulous, I love the color combination you used!!
  4. What about a bottle opener such as a starfish or flip flop. That way they can open their drinks at the party:)
  5. We aren't having a cake topper. We are on a pretty tight budget and felt it was one area we could cut out.
  6. I love this idea!! JBean- how long did it take for you to receive the lanterns from the Ebay seller??
  7. We were going to use our ipod and having our wedding music on that, but like you, I was confused as to how to do the playlists so they understood what to play when. I asked our wedding coordinator how to go about it, and she said they actually prefered if you had music on a CD (2 of them, in case one doesnt work) and also on the ipod for backup. She said the CD was much easier for the people running the music because you can clearly list what each number song is for. I don't know if thats an option for your wedding, but it might save some troubles with the playlists.
  8. We choose to go with titanium. The reason we chose this was the price. We were able to purchase one from overstock.com for about 60 dollars with shipping included. My FI doesn't think he will wear a ring all that much. He works in the oilfield and isn;t allowed to wear rings out there so he wont be wearing it to work, so there was no need to worry about cutting it. We decided that if he does want to wear a ring more often then we will pay the money to purchase a gold one.
  9. I am including aloe vera in our OOT bags. Did you buy them or bottle aloe yourself? I bought then already packaged Where did you purchase aloe/supplies from? I got most of them from another bride on here for a discount, but had to buy some extra at walmart How much did you spend? I beleive they were $0.99 each for the extra ones I had to buy What size are yours (I am thinking 2-4oz?) I don;t know the exact size, but they are the same size as the travel hand sanitizer bottle things. How do you recommend doing it? I like the prepackaged as it has a seal on the inside, so Im not worried about them leaking, which they may do if you do them yourselves.
