I was really skeptical when searching for a Jamaican photographer. I probably researched for about three weeks straight before we settled on a photographer. I wanted to make sure we were getting a decent photographer, not just someone who says they are a photographer. We are using Merrick Cousley. Check him out, we think his photos are amazing!

We got my Fis and groomsmen shirts from Tommy Bahama. They have a great selection, even in the winter.

Interesting, this is something I never would have thought would be appropriate but it works, especially for a DW.

My mom is wearing a purple and turqoise dress. Its not to fancy, but not to casual either. My FIs mom is wearing a red and black dress, once again not to fancy but not to casual.

I'm not sure if you are planning a welcome dinner or anything, but if you are you could pass then out then, that way it would be early in the vacation for your guests to take advantage of them.

I have been to a few destionation weddings. The first one they payed extra to rent a DJ and dance floor for the night of their wedding and the other was like you suggested, going to a club afterwords. I think they each have pros and cons and each appeal to different types of peoples. They were both great though and each showed the personality of the wedding couple. Do what feels appropriate for you.

Its your wedding, do whatever you want. We didn't even put last names on our invitations, only first names.

I guess its all what you really feel comfortable with. Some people would absolutely never get married before they went to their destination because they feel that they want that day at their destination to be the legal day, whereas some people would rather get married first in their native country as it sometimes makes things a lot easier and cheaper. It really depends what you and your FI decided is more important. Would you rather have a legal wedding down there without your friend marrying you? Or would you rather have your friend marrying you? There is never a right or wrong answer, just what feels best for you.

Would it be possible for you to post the contact info on here? I would love to pre book some A la cart dinners. Ours were pretty basic as when we sent ours out we didn't know specific flight schedules (although we did reserve a wedding date). We included location, resort and just the month of January and year.
