Have you looked into the Secrets properties? They are absolutely phenomenal resorts, all inclusive, adults only and they offer very reasonable wedding packages. They are also located in various places throughout the carribean so you arent limited to certain places.

The best advice I can give you is do what you and your Fiance want to do, not what everyone else wants you to do. Its your wedding day!

We aren't giving any formal gifts to anyone, even parents while in Jamaica. Rather, when we get back from our wedding and have our photos we plan to make them photo books as a gift for them.

Its your wedding and you can do what you want. Have you thought about maybe an adults only resort? Just realize though that if you have have guests with children they may choose not to come because they would have to leave their children at home.

We went through our house and had some things laying around that we no longer needed that were still in good condition so we sold them for money and put that towards our wedding. Also, like AnnR said, just cutting back a bit on spending helped us.

Yay, I can't imagine how excited you are!! I hope your flight is good and I will see you down there:) I have been packing today and am so afraid to be overweight for our suitcases, but I feel like I hadly have anything packed except for wedding things!! Gosh this packing thing is difficult!

I tend to way overpack and found myself having to remove things from my suitcase!! My FI is a light packer so most of our OOT stuff and other wedding things are packed into his suitcase! Its so hard to know what to bring and what to leave behind!!

I would say definately wait if you can. We ended up rushing and booking early and in the end we spent more money then we could have. Rates decreased quite a lot from the time we booked (April 11) for our January wedding. And dont trust direct flights with Air Transat. We were supposed to have direct flights from Calgary, and last week learned they no longer are direct. And in the last week transat has made about 4 changes to our flight schedule.
