  1. We didn't have a videographer and I have to say its our one major regret about our entire wedding. Sure we have beautiful photos and will have memories of the day forever, but it would be so amazing to be able to watch that video for many years to come. The day goes by so unbelievably quick, especially the wedding ceremony, that I wish we would have hired one.
  2. I was just married at this resort and wrote a big review. Check out the other thread: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/51518/any-gran-bahia-principe-runaway-bay-brides-out-there/3270#post_1726451 As to what to do, Lots of people get married at 11am and there are a few things you could probably do. You could all go together, or seperate for lunch, have some time to relax. Some people hang out by the pool bar, or even change into their swim suits and go swimming. You could always try to move your wedding to another day that you can have a later time so your not so worried about it.
  3. I think its great that you are here and not yet engaged. I used to always creep on this site (I wasn't a member) before I got engaged and then once I was engaged I already had some really valuable information in regards to destination weddings. As to the knot, I can't stand the forum there. If find no one helpful and more negative then anything.
  4. I think it would be better to do it on your actual anniversary date. I have never heard of doing it on the airplane, it is a unique idea. I don't think I would do it, just because I often feel so sick during flying and don't enjoy it at all. What about waiting another year and doing it next year instead? It will give you an excuse to go on another vacation:)
  5. We went to all the a la cartes and the men wore sandals for all of them and there was never a problem. They also wore shorts at all of them except for Don Pablo. They were turned away at that restraunt to put pants on, but sandals were okay. They were allowed to wear jeans as well.
  6. I think we are going to plan another trip, for just the two of us, so its something to look forward too! I have started to change my name on some things. Like someone else said there is a different between legally changing your name and assuming your married name. If you change your birth certificate you are legally changing your name, otherwise you are just assuming your married name. I'm not sure how it works in other provinces, but in Alberta when you change your drivers license they take the old one away and give you a peice of paper for at least two weeks until your new one comes in the mail. I changed my name at the banks, credit card companies, SIN number, and a bunch of other places with just my paper from Jamaica and a birth certificate. They never once asked for a drivers license. I changed that today and at the same time they automatically change your vehicle registration. So far it has been fairly easy to change it.
  7. I know the feeling. I think I'm suffering from a little bit of post nuptial depression. I spent over a year planning and anticipating the wedding and trip to Jamaica, and just like that its over and done, no more planning to do and no more vacation to look forward to.
  8. 4mins is plenty of time. My song was probably 3:30 but definetly didn't need all of it. I was walking so fast anyways so It probably only took 1-2 mins. My mom actually told me to slow down haha!
  9. So today is the last day of January, and it makes me kind of sad! That means no more January 2012 weddings after today! I guess that means we all should be married now!

  16. There is not much alcohol for sale in the peublo principe (the shopping center). However, inside the resort there are a few stores, one that sells mostlly only alcohol and cigars/tobacco. Not sure if they sell much wine though. I would probably contact the resort to see.
  17. Congrats! Your photos are great and I absolutely adore your bouquet. Did you make it yourself?
