  1. Sorry to hear about your e-ring. I love those rings! They are so unique and different!
  2. Those are really cute. I wished amazon.com would ship to Canada, but unfortunately most things they won't. And amazon.ca doesn't have any of the same things.
  3. I love both hairstyles and either would look great! And stop stressing, everything will be fine!
  4. It really doesnt look to bad! I'm sure by the time your wedding comes it won't be to bad, and plus your photographer will be able to edit the photos. And it might be a great story to tell your grand children one day:)
  5. I love all the shoes on here!! To bad I can't wear heels, there are some great ones on here!
  6. Well picking our location was the hardest. We knew we wanted a destination wedding. We sat down and wrote a list of what is the most important to us, such as having family and friends there, therefore it needed to be affordable. We went through three locations before finally deciding on Jamaica. We then went to our TA and she recommended some places to look at and from there we found our resort and then picked our date with the wedding coordinator! Good luck and welcome to this thread!
  7. Little Princess- I love your story of how you met! I get a lot of weird looks when I tell people we met online! Where I work, there are many people who have met their husband or future husbands online so I don't seem to get as many funny looks!
  8. Congrats!! I hope you are finding lots of useful information on this site!
  9. Congrats and happy planning:) Hope you are finding the information you need!
  10. We are having two bridesmaids and two grooms men and I think we will be paying for their outfits. I will also be paying for my bridesmaids jewelry.
  11. I got a list of all the resorts in jamaica from our travel agent. I then took that list and narrowed it down, crossed off the ones that were lower then four star, crosses off ones that are adult only (we have kids coming) and then started looking on resort websites to finally narrow it down. Once we narrowed it down to about five or six resorts we went back to our travel agent and she found us approximate prices and which ones she would recommend. Hope that helps.
  12. Go see a travel agent....they will be able to access all the prices from the past few years and tell you an approximate estimate of how much it should be per person depending on when you are flying.
  13. I love the idea of using sand from the destination!! I never even thought about that before.
  14. Hey everyone! User Name: jaykay Name: Jayne & Mason Location: Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica Wedding: January 10, 2012 I'm so excited!!
  15. Don't worry, we changed our location about four times before actually deciding where we wanted to go! The Dominican Republic beautiful! My best friends just got back from the Grand Palladium Bavaro and said it was great! They have stayed in the Grand Palladium resorts all over the place and that one was their favorite one!
  16. I am not a teacher, however, two of our guests are teachers. We looked at getting married during February break (something we have in Alberta, not sure if it is everywhere in Canada) and also during Easter. Our travel agent told us we would be paying 400-500 dollars more per person for these weeks as they are extremely popular and resorts can get really busy. We ultimately decided we would go in January and the teachers would take time off. Congrats! And happy planning!
  17. Congrats!! It is a super exciting time in your life and you are lucky to have lots of time left. If you already have an idea of location then you just need to pick a resort and start communicating with the wedding planner. Good luck and happy planning:)
  18. Congrats and welcome back!! Happy Planning:)
