  1. Yay! Congrats on booking the date!
  2. This is so frustrating! I just got an email back from Chandlyn today about this. She said we need our long form birth certificates and they have to be notarized. I think we will just pay the money and do it so that when we get down there everything is right.
  3. Try searching the review section on here, or search for that resort and you might come across some reviews. Good luck!

Congrats on booking the day! I think that is the most exciting day!!
  5. Welcome! For us that was definately the hardest part-picking a resort. We finally found one and just knew it was the resort we wanted to get married at but it did take quite some time and lots of thinking. Good luck! Hopefully you can find tons of useful information on here to help you make your decision!
  6. Congrats! Its so exciting to finally have a place and a date, I think thats when we got most excited and could really start all the planning!
  7. Good luck! When we booked our date we had an idea of around when we wanted to get married and had to be a little bit flexible. If you are set on one specific day, there may not be any availability, so you will more then likely need to be a little flexible. We booked in Jan 11 for our wedding in Jan 12 so Im sure you will have no problem!
  8. My FI and I are getting married in Jan 2012. We will be getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe resort in Jamaica and will be there for a week. We would like to go to an all inclusive, adults only resort for the second week for our honeymoon. Where is everyone else going? And does anyone have any suggestions about resorts? Thanks so much!
  9. We are also using Merrick Cousley. Chandlyn told me there would be a 75 dollar charge unless he is a guest of the hotel for the night. I emailed Merrick and he said that the travel costs do apply as he has to stay overnight because of the distance from his home. Therefore, you wouldn't have to pay the 75 dollars for the resort to have an outside photographer as he will be a guest, but you will still have to pay his travel fees.
  10. Wow, I didn't even know this thread existed!! Now I do:)
  11. Does anyone know if the $75 charge for bringing in an outside photographer to the resort would still apply if the photographer has a room booked for the night?
  12. Im 23 turning 24 in a few weeks, however, most people think I look young-like 16ish. I always get asked what high school I go to get ID'd everywhere I go! (legal age here is 18). My FI is 25 and people often think he is around 28-29.. People often look as us weird when we are out together!
