Congrats on your engagement! Maui is a beautiful place! The Marriott at Wailea is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are beautiful and there are many different places to get married. Makena Beach is also really nice, but can be super busy with weddings, and also there are no chairs or anything allowed on the beach, therefore, your guests all have to stand! Hi there, and congrats on deciding on a DW! We never considered Cuba for our wedding, but we considered Mexico, Dominican, and Jamaica. We found that the requirements to legally get married in Mexico and Dominican were nearly the same. Jamaica however, seemed to have the easiest and cheapest process and no documents need to be translated to a different language. We eventually decided on Jamaica after finding a resort we fell in love with! It can be super overwhelming at first. Try making a list of what is important to you in a resort (ex, big vs small, free wedding vs non free wedding, price for guests etc). Also, try searching on here for different resorts and you will find tons of info! Good luck and happy planning:)

Hi there! I'm slightly jealous that you are getting married at Secrets Maroma as it looks so beautiful!! Congrats on seding your STD's.

We just received our group rates for Jan 2012 from our TA and we are using Transat. Originally we were quoted 1855 from Sunquest and 2095 from transat with departure from Calgary for one week all inclusive. Our TA said she has only had problems with sunquest and recommended Transat, so she went to Transat and asked if they would match Sunquests price. They came back slightly cheaper so we are paying 1830 per person per week all inclusive from Calgary. We were also quoted for the Royal Golden which is 2095 per person per week all inclusive. I don't know if its work paying the 265 per week extra for Royal Golden but we have left the option open to our guests. For those of you who have been there and upgraded did you feel it was worth it?

Hi ladies, I sent an email to Chandlyn last night about the new packages. This is the question I sent: I seen on a forum I am signed up on that there were new wedding packages for 2012. We have already booked our wedding date, however, our wedding date is in 2012. Do we go by the new packages with the cheaper prices, or the current packages with the higher prices? This is the response I got: Please see attached packages for 2012 that would apply to all bookings(including yours) for the new year Not quite sure what this means for you 2011 brides, but if your date is in 2012 you use the new packages.
