  1. Wow, sounds like you will be so busy!! I'm sure I will be last minute with a lot of things too. I'm finishing up University and will graduate in December, so whats not done in the summer probably wont get done until right before. And then with thanksgiving, xmas and new years thrown in there too!!
  2. I think those wedding times are just a reference. We asked if we could get married at 3pm and they said no problem. I think it just depends if there are other weddings booked on a specific date you want and they have to leave so much time in between. Did you book a date yet?
  3. Congrats!! So exciting! Have a fabulous wedding and can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!
  4. Same thing happened to me. The flight dates changed so we had to change our wedding date. I would just call them and ask what available dates they have. Thats what I did and it really helped putting my mind at ease rather then waiting for an email!
  5. I'm getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe and the wedding coordinators are definately not difficult to deal with. They have been absolutely amazing!! Wonder where your DW specialist got their info...
  6. Its kind of nice not having anything to do, less stress haha. but at the same time I feel like I should be doing something!!
  7. Congrats on deciding on a resort! For us that was definitely the hardest part! Each resort has a different way of going things. If you haven't received an email back maybe try calling them. To book our date I just called down to the resort directly and found out available dates and then was able to choose one. That might be your fasted option. It tends to take awhile for resorts to email back. I would definitely book your wedding date first, before booking flights.
  8. Welcome! Try searching for your specific resort and there will be a thread that is sure to be pretty active with other members. You should be able to find more answers to your questions as each resort tends to be different. Happy planning:) And welcome!
  9. I have a good friend who is currently in the same spot as you are. They have decided around when they want to get married and now the hard part for them is deciding on a resort that is in their price range which is about 1500. They originally wanted to get married in the Mayan in Mexico but found that prices there would not come close to their budget of 1500. They are not looking at other areas in Mexico that are somewhat cheaper. Like others have said probably you best bet is to find a TA, give them about how much you want to spend, and see if they can give you a list of 4 or 5 resorts that you can possibly research a bit further to eventually find your dream resort!
  10. I did try sears.ca and I also checked out the store and the Bay and neither carry them in store either! Thanks for the suggestion of overstock, I will definetly take a look!
  11. Thanks for the suggestions. Amazon and sears.com unfortunately will not ship to Canada. I have tried dept stores with no luck either.
  12. Hi girls, I am looking for a plain white gold wedding band. I already have my wedding band to go with my engagement ring, however, with my job in the health care field I am unable to wear those to work so therefore, I am looking for just a plain white gold band. I have been to a few local jewellers however, most are costing from 250-350. I really didn't want to spend that much money. Anyone have any ideas (online sites perhaps) where I can find one? Thanks so much!
  13. We sent free vista print magnets for our STDs to about 60 people. From that we are only sending invitations to people who show interest in coming, otherwise the price will definately get out of hand.
  14. I think it really depends on where you are getting married and how they do things. The resort I am getting married at does things a little differently. After the ceremony you have a champagne toast and can do the first dances and cake cutting right there and then go to dinner. For us we really don't care about all the traditional wedding factors. We aren't going to do official toasts but rather just informal ones at dinner. I would ask at your specific resort how they do things and the order or the day to maybe get a better idea!
