  1. Welcome! I love DIY projects, I just wish I had more time for them!
  2. Everything looks great!! I'm pretty sure they are glowsticks as we bought the same ones.
  3. My FI isn't doing anything other then getting a haircut. I have fair skin and will look like a lobster by the time the wedding comes around if it wasn't for tanning, so I will be tanning, and probably have to start about 6 months early haha. My best friend is a hairdresser and esthetician so I get things for cheap! Ill be highlighting my hair, getting a facial, waxing, and doing gel toes and nails.
  4. My FI is leaning towards a black ring. At first I didn't like the idea but then I thought about it and realized I wouldn't be happy wearing something I didn't like, so I've told him that he can get whatever he wants, because he is the one that has to wear it.
  5. I prefer my girls to all wear one color and then use the other colors as accents to avoid looking like a box of skittles lol. My FI will be wearing a white shirt with tan pants and the groomsmen will be wearing tan pants and a light blue shirt so sort of stand apart form my FI and I. You could also have your girls wear all one color but different shades, or you can have them in all different colors, I think it just depends what you like!
  6. I knew exactly what I wanted before my FI and I ever went shopping- a brilliant cut round solitare with a tapered setting. And thats exactly what I got. I really didn't care to much about the size. I have small hands, size 4.5 fingers and tried on some bigger stones that were from .70 carats to 1.0 carats and they looked way to big on my little fingers. I chose a .50 carat Canadian Diamond and went with the quality over carat size. I wanted something that will still look good years from now. You need a ring that you will look at and totally love. I have some friends who never had a say in their rings and they hate them and never wear them because they hate them!
  7. Thats a great idea! A trip to costco may be necessary!
  8. I think thats a great idea! As my BMs like to travel I bought them passport covers and luggage tags from etsy.
  9. Thanks for the great samples! They will come in handy!
  10. I agree, I think they should be treated like a guest. The more you include them prior to your wedding the better connection you will have with them when it comes to photographs on your wedding day. Also, they are coming all this way, possibly alone, and it would be nice to include them in things.
  11. Welcome! Congrats on deciding on a location and picking a date. For us that was the hardest part! Try searching for the Bahia Principe Tulum thread, I'm sure there will be other brides on there who can help you with all the specifics, like the schedule of events for the day. Happy planning:)
  12. Yeah they had the one with the heart shape as well at Michael's, but it seemed like it would take up to much space in my suitcase haha! Michael's also sells bottles of sand in tons of colors, from funky to neutral. They also sell like craft sand that I'm sure you could use in a ton of different colors. My cousin just melted a candle on the top of her sand and it worked great to get it home from Mexico and I have read from a few brides on here that it worked for them as well.
  13. We are planning on doing a sand ceremony. We bought our sand ceremony set at Micheal's. It was regularly $59.99 but we used a 40% coupon so it came to like $36 dollars. It comes with neutral colored sand. It doesn't say anywhere on the box but when I opened it it does include a cap thing, so I was surprised. I had planned on just bringing a candle and melting the wax on top of it. Here is a picture of the set we bought:
  14. I had considered getting a fake one and I just might. I think its a great idea!
