    I have seen that color in the store and its kind of hard to describe. It is kind of a fuschia but more of like a berry pink. Not really red though. Could you order one and if its the wrong color return it?

    We are undecided about having a welcome dinner. I think we might just do something informal, such as all meet at a buffet one night for dinner. All our guests, about 16, will be flying with us and staying the whole week together so it might be nice to all meet one night for a welcome dinner.

    I'm sorry that your FMIL is being like this! My FMIL is the same type of person, has to make everything about her and she says since she is contributing (barely anything!) she should have a say in things. We too don't want speeches and have told her and she doesn't understand. I guess maybe just sitting down and discussing why you feel the way you feel and maybe compromising on something not so big might make her feel better. Good luck! Let us know how things go!

    I to was debating what to do with regards to a registry. We hadn't planned on doing one, as we aren't expecting gifts. We have family members who already are asking where we are registered. We explained to them we don't want gifts but they are insisting. I think we will register for a few things, then if anyone feels the need to get gift then they can. We won't be telling anyone we are registered unless they ask and we will tell our parents so they can pass along the message to people who ask them as well.
