  1. I agree. We haven't put our registry info on anything, we have just spread it by word of mouth if people ask. And also we never did an engagment party, instead we did an engagement supper with just immediate family.
  2. I got my bridesmaid a passport cover and luggage tag from etsy from Gracie Designs.
  3. I have a ticker on my desktop and the days don't seem to going down to quickly! If only it would hurry up!
  4. Welcome to this forum! We are getting married in January 2012 and using Merrick Cousley. We found him great to work with so far and his prices are very reasonable. We chose to use him over bringing someone from home as it was much cheaper. I have heard that the photographer at the resort isn't that good. Hope that helps!
  5. I think they are all great shoes and any of them would work. I like Number 2 or 3 the best!
  6. You have to have 150 posts before you can download attachments.
  7. This is tough. I think it is a great idea because I would rather get money then a toaster which I will never use, however, I think its a bit tacky to ask for money. We weren't even going to do a gift registry but decided to do a small one as some people who are unable to make it to our wedding said they would like to purchase a gift for us although we explained it wasn't necessary.
  8. You can really do whatever you want to do! My something old will be a pair of stud earrings from my mom. I'm still not sure of what my something borrowed will be.
  9. Wow, I feel bad that you have to go through this. I can say I have had the complete opposite experience and my MOH and BMs have been nothing but supportive and helpful! I know its tough that they aren't helping out and its frustrating, but at the same time the only two people needed to get married are you and your FI. Good luck with everything!
  10. Congrats on your recent engagement!! I have never been there but hear its beautiful!! Happy planning:)
  11. You don't need a Canadian wedding license if you are getting legally married in Jamaica. If you are getting legally married in Canada then yes you do.
  12. Your pictures are beautiful. We are considering this resort for our honeymoon. Would you recommend it for a honeymoon?
  13. We had a really hard time trying to decide on a resort. It took us a good few months to finally make our decision. We first made a list of what we wanted in a resort in regards to size, night life, things to do at the resort, restraunts and distance from airport. We also knew we wanted to get married in a gazebo overlooking the ocean. We then went to the travel agent with a list of the things we wanted and she gave us a list of 5 or 6 resorts and we took that and went home and did alot of research. We then went back to her when we narrowed it down to about three resorts and she was able to provide us with prices which helped us make your decision. I think once you find the right resort you will know. Good luck with it! We found that the most stressful part, and once we chose it was like a weight lifted off our shoulders!
