    Thanks for posting this. I'm planning my Maui wedding for August 2011 at a private Lahaina Estate (Majestic Maui) and am trying to navigate the vendor selection. I have been talking to Food for The Soul and they do seem to have a better price than the other companies I spoke with plus they are very friendly and helpful. Just curious, did you do the bring your own alcohol option or the full bar option? Did you order your cake through them as well? Did they arrange the tables for you or did Dellables? Thanks for your help.

    Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone made or is planning to make their own bouquets at their destination weddings? I'm finding the professionally made bouquets in Maui start at around $85 and go up to $300+. I have a couple of how to make your own bouquet books and it seems so simple and inexpensive so I'm curious if anyone has done this? If so, was it easy? Did you have a difficult time finding the flowers at your location? Thanks!

    Glad to hear that you were happy with Lori. I chose her for my upcoming wedding and have felt a little nervous about her response time on things so far but it seems like she has a lot of great reviews from past brides so that is comforting.

    Ok, so I'm not planning to pay for their dresses but I'm also making it a personal goal for the dresses to not be over $100. I think that's reasonable. I also wanted to add that I was in a wedding once where the bride paid for the cost of the dress over $100 (so, if it was $150, she paid $50.)

    We've had mixed reviews for choosing a dw. Surprisingly, most of our friends are totally supportive and excited but some of our immediate family members have had reservations about going. It's sad but I've tried to not think too much about it. I'd understand if they were strapped for cash but they're not and it makes me sad to think that it's not enough of a priority to make the point to go. Oh well, I guess I should have expected this type of reaction when I made the choice to have a destination wedding.
