  2. My ring bearer will be carrying this: http://photos.weddingbycolor-nocookie.com/p000018234-m112185-p-photo-299819/ring-bearer-bowl.jpg I'll probably get a different ribbon for it, but this is my "something borrowed" passed down to me from one of my close friends who was married last year. She also gave me a second one which says the same things in Latin so I may just nest the two for effect (she had 2 ring bearers since her hubby had 2 adorable nephews).
  3. I think it's a beautiful dress! But I may be biased cuz it's a bit reminiscent of my dress, except yours has more layers and is strapless. :^D
  4. My friend had a DW in Hawaii and her guestbook looked similar to this: http://www.lilypondcards.com/wedding%20wish%20tree%20ivory%20silver.jpg I thought it was a creative alternative to a guestbook.
  5. Congratulations! Such a great day to get engaged! Hope you shared your engagement story under the "Share your wedding/engagement stories" thread!
  6. I love breakfast and am always ready to eat breakfast (any time of the day actually). Something I like to do is called Palta in Chile, and it is quite healthy, quite filling, and easy to make (I learned it from my fiance): Half a hass avocado (for one serving, or use the whole thing if you're making breakfast for two) Half a tablespoon or so of olive oil Dash of salt Mash the avocado and mix in the olive oil and salt. Spread on multi-grain toast and enjoy! Sometimes I'll also make scrambled eggs (minus the yolk). Then I'll use the avocado mix as a spread on a wrap (one of those whole-wheat lavash wraps), add the scrambled egg, and voila! Breakfast wrap.

  8. Yes! Would you ever go bungee-jumping?
  9. Depends on what's practical and preferable for you. Do you want to tote along a second pair? Or maybe you can just get a great pair of shoes for the ceremony and then go barefoot for the reception? I'm sure there would be shoes that could cover both settings but I can't really think of any suggestions offhand. For me, the two settings are so different that I'm not sure it would be easy to find a pair that covers both.
  10. Lovely dress! The back is gorgeous!! Quote: Originally Posted by JessMarie I just bought my dress yesterday! It is a Maggie Sottero dress- Caprice. 11. dislike. Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods?
  12. I have one tattoo on my shoulder blade and I'm sure it will show when I wear my wedding dress. I have thought about covering it up because my parents have no idea that I have a tattoo, so I'm not sure the wedding is the greatest place and time for them to find that out...... However, I don't want to cover it up because it's not huge and it's a part of me.... Plus I'm not too thrilled about it smudging and smearing on my dress and such throughout the evening. <sigh> Dilemma. My fiance has tattoos but they won't be seen since he'll be wearing long sleeves. But, on a different occasion we tried Kat Von D's tattoo cover-up and it didn't really help (unless we were supposed to use tons more of the stuff than we did) because you could still see the black outline of the tattoo..... So I guess if we're covering up my tattoo, I'm going to have to find something better.
  13. I frequently wear bright colored nail polish so I'll probably do either red, silver, or blue which are all within the color scheme of my wedding. I don't think I'll regret it later since I'm not really a french manicure kinda gal. Besides, it's a DW in Mexico - color, color, color!
  14. Sorry to hear that you've been in the hospital. Hope you're feeling better. Where are you in your planning stage? There's a Dreams Cabo Brides thread so you can take a look at those if you have some time to do a bit of reading. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/8810/dreams-cabo-brides There are also some reviews for Dreams weddings. Here's one: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/59421/dreams-cabo-wedding-review-may-2010 And another one with pictures: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/52363/heather-s-dreams-los-cabos-review-with-pics And Tammy is an administrator on BDW and has posted this which I think will help you get started: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/729/dreams-los-cabos-info-pics Wish I could help you more. I'm getting married the day before you are, on the beach in Los Cabos. Not doing it at a specific resort though so.... But this forum has tons and tons of info that's helpful either way. Good luck to you and congratulations!
