I'm so sorry this happened to you guys. I would definitely recommend he see the resort Dr if he doesn't start feeling better. I hope you guys get to enjoy your honeymoon! -
Thanks. We got vanilla cake. I think it was ok, but I cut the smallest piece possible and tried to just swallow it because I was so sick. Husband said it was good though.

We had about 35 people and we did a sweetheart table and are really glad we did. That gave us enough people for 4 tables which was great.

They have music and activities on the left side of the pool (to the left of the swim up bar if you are walking out of the lobby). They also have the net for volleyball there. The right side is the quiet side.

Hey! So I got good news from our wedding coordinator today. They are giving us a complimentary 1 week stay to be used this yr or next yr because of the salmonella poisoning. While it doesn't make up for the fact that I lost out on so much time with my guests, which was a big part of what attracted us to a destination wedding, it does take some of the sting out it. We will have a nice 1 yr anniversary trip.

I'm not sure what got me sick but we think it was at Asiana's. I saw the Dr today again and he gave me another antibiotic. I'm starting to feel better now atleast to the point where I can lay by the pool and eat a few things. We postponed the massage and dinner on the beach we were supposed to have today. I've seen some pictures from family and friends of the wedding and so far they look good. They did a great job with hair and make up and I tried to make the best of the night.

Hey ladies, we got married Friday and are here in Cancun until Sat. We got here the 4th. I don't want to freak anyone out by saying this but if you have time I would recommend taking probiotics before your trip. This is our 3rd trip to Cancun and we have never had any issues with food but myself and 5 of our guests got salmonella on Tuesday night. I was sick Wed, in bed all day Thurs until I dragged myself out to our rehearsal dinner at which I ate nothing. They sent the Dr to see me that night and he gave me antibiotics and a few other meds. Fri was the wedding and I did my best to enjoy it and danced anyways, and was sick most of the night following the reception (at which I also didn't eat). I was in my bed again all day yesterday. So many of my guests who came down for only a few days I barely saw. I ate nothing but toast from Wed night until today when I ate a few French fries. I've been to both of these resorts before and never had a problem, but the timing couldn't have been worse.

We are leaving this Sat and getting married 5/10! We purchased the basic video package from the resorts. We didn't want to pay another vendor fee but did want the ceremony on film to have. We debated back and forth and decided to get it. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Hey ladies, I leave in 5 days!! So crazy! In regards to photography, when I did a site visit we were thinking about doing engagement pictures with Funever Photos (the resorts photographer), but when we got down there and saw their work we thought it would be a waste of money. We didn't ask to see their whole portfolio, but they had quite a few pictures displayed (wedding, casual, and engagements type photos) and we weren't impressed. I had already been considering getting an outside photographer but that made up my mind. The pictures looked like I could have taken them with my own camera. They didn't have that professional/retouched look to them. I wanted to make sure we loved our pictures so we went with Ivan Luckie, and he's been great to work with to this point.

Did anyone else do a site visit? We did one and met with a coordinator (wo is now our onsite coordinator)and did a tasting that we arranged through Claudy. Some time ago I asked her if we needed any type of receipt since we would have to request it through our credit card company. She assured me I didn't need it that the resort has a record. And now our onsite coordinator is asking me for it! I told her Claudy said I didn't need I and sent her a screen shot of the conversation with her. Hopefully that's ok because I'd be really upset not to get a credit because we were misinformed. On a happier note we leave in 10 days!!

What does everyone have left on their to do list? We are getting so close!! Here are my to do's: -buy make up from MACfor the wedding (I've been tanning so I want to wait as long as I can) -pick ceremony music -get notarized letter (for my parents to take my son home with them) -Type out escort cards -buy parents gifts -print travel documents -send song list to DJ Get highlights/ trim (4/27) I would love to see what everyone else still has to do! Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything!
