May 10, 2013 at The Gran Caribe/The Royal in Cancun!

Hey everyone, I'm currently in Cancun! Took a walk by the GRC and The Royal and wished we were there. We debated going there but didn't want 3 vacations in a row at the same place. We are vacationing at Le Blanc. It's definitely a nice resort and has nice touches but personally so far I like The Royal better. I was wondering if anyone attended the webinar and learned any new info. I was hoping to be able to attend but wasn't. Hope all is well!

Are any of you ladies attending the webinar? That is the day I leave for Cancun and am hoping to tune in for part of it in between flights!

I'm registered. And it happens to be the day I leave for Cancun for vacation! I'll be tuning in at Miami airport between flights!

I'm so confused! I have been picturing my wedding here,did a site visit, got rates etc. Now I'm contemplating switching to the Moon Palace Chapel. I'm so torn because I love the chapel at the GCR. I also love both of the resorts (GCRand the Royal). But I like that there aren't restrictions at the Moon Palace Chapel. Communicating with Moon Palace so far has been like pulling teeth. We are going to go look at MP while we are staying at Le Blanc next month. I know I won't like the resorts much.....its so big. They do offer a lot more for booking a group though. I'm so torn!!!!

Yes I confirmed with our wedding coordinator. The bride must have shoulders covered too. I'm actually looking at the Moon Palace and considering changing resorts.

Hi, I have a question for you ladies. I am currently booked at the chapel at the Gran Caribe and was just given a list of rules for the chapel that we are very unhappy about. We are now looking at the Moon Palace Chapel instead to compare. Are there any rules in the Chapel about all women having to cover their shoulders with a shawl? We have been booked for a year now and really feel like they have breached our contract and aren't willing to make any exceptions. I just don't want to look back at my wedding and dislike the pictures because I had to have a shawl on over my wedding dress as well as my bridesmaids. Any info you guys could give me would be great! My stress level is a little high right now..lol. Thanks!!

Hi, So I can't believe Im saying this but we are now looking at other resorts. I really don't want to look back at my pictures and get mad every time I look at the shawl. It's tough because we've been booked for a year now and I've been picturing my wedding there, but I don't like the new rules and I don't Ike that we weren't informed until we asked about something.

I just heard from our coordinator about the rules of the chapel. In them it says that everyone must have their shoulders covered. I asked her about my wedding dress since it is strapless and about bridesmaids dresses and I was told we must wear a shawl or a pashmina. She sent us something to sign acknowledging the rules. Apparently they never inforced this until now. It's making me question getting married in the chapel.

So excited for this thread and for our weddings.

I just got an email back from my wedding coordinator and this is what she said "It is not a new rule but on past weddings no bride followed that rule, so…. the priest created the “church guideline documentâ€, so he can verify that rule will always accomplished" I'm so upset because I really don't want to wear a shawl and I don't want my bridal pay to have to either. I feel that this should have been in the original contract.

Hey, I'm definitely getting excited! We spent yesterday with some of our families and they are getting excited too. I was actually surprised that some of my family members that weren't thrilled about the trip are now starting to feel differently. Everyone was passing the lap tops around and talking about what rooms they want. Also leaving for our vacation to Le Blanc in 26 days! Can't wait!

Hi ladies, I posted quite awhile ago and there are so many new faces since then! I am getting married May10, 2013 at the Gran Caribe Real in the chapel. We just got our save the dates and will be sending them out probably in the next few weeks. We are also working with Wendy from Wright Travel. So far she's been great to work with. The only problem with our resort is that they really don't give you any perks for booking a group unless you have 25 rooms booked which we most likely will not have. Going down to Cancun in 31 days for a vacation. Can't wait!

We are addressing our save the dates tonight and sending them this week now that we have rates on our website. Babigirl21 are you working with a travel agent?

Also just got group rates from our travel agent for the hotel.

Hi everyone, While I was cleaning and organizing this weekend I decided to take a few pictures of some of the stuff I have so far for the wedding. It's mostly just little extra stuff but I figured I would share First is my "Bride" robe from Victorias Secret Next I got a few pairs of VS undies that I thought were cute And a garter although I'm not sure I'm going to use this one My wedding shoes! Another pair I got for some point during the wedding week And Lastly Our STD magnets!
