  1. Hey ladies, I apologize if this has already been answered on this board but I don't want to search through 53 pages. I was wondering what time receptions usually start. Like what time does dinner start?
  2. That's really rude to say about someone else's dress. You could have just pointed her in the right direction without slamming her dress choice.
  3. I definitely never heard of airlines being so picky. I have two suggestions first would be to call the airline back and hopefully you will talk to another person. It would be interesting to know if it was just that one person who says that or if its an airline policy. Secondly, I know there are bridal shops that will actually pack your dress into carry-on luggage for you. And then most resorts offer steaming services for your dresses to get out any wrinkles that occur during travel. Good luck!

In the top right hand corner. it says you have made 6.
  5. I'm using Wright travel agency too and they have been amazing! I get such quick responses to all emails. And any time I have a question about the resort I ask my TA and she takes care of contacting the resort and asks for me. I think using a TA is so much less stress.
  6. Definitely her behaviour has been inappropriate. However, I completely understand you wanting him to be able to have her at your wedding as she is a close friend of his. My suggestions is tell your FI you appreciate that he is seeing your side of this and that he was willing to not invite her however you realize she is important to him and therefore you think she should be invited. THEN I would have a conversation with the girl. I think you need to sit down with her face to face and talk. Not be catty, but just let her know that you think some of her behaviour is inappropriate. That you realize she is important to your FI so you don't want to get in the way of their friendship but remind her that there are boundaries.
  7. Congrats. Your story definitely just brought tears to my eyes. Sounds like you have a wonderful fiance.
  8. Congratulations. Great story and happy planning.
  9. Thanks for the opinions ladies. I'm still having the hardest time making a decision. I have a long time till my wedding but if I want to go light then I've got to start that next time I dye my hair.

  11. Hello ladies! I'm trying to decide which hair colour looks best on me for the wedding. I change my hair colour alot so its really hard to pick the best one. Here are a few samples of my favorite ones. Keep in mind I will be tanned at my wedding not ghostly white like some of these pics! Sorry some of the pics are so large..not sure how to change that. Blonde-Brown Red-Brown Red-Red Dark Brown

  13. If you've never travelled before then I would suggest a TA for sure. I usually always arrange my own travel but for this i"m leaving it to the pros. Everyone could book seperately but then you won't get a group booking discount and with a group your size you will definitely be able to get a group discount. With a TA everyone calls them and gives them their info and they book it for them. To use the ones on this site there's a banner you can click on at the top of the site.
  14. I think a lot of people will do a cocktail reception during that time. It really depends on your budget. If it was me, I know cocktails aren't in our budget so I would probably just let people entertain themselves. Weddings in my area always have like 2:00 ceremonies and then 5:30 receptions so guests are always left to fend for themselves so I figure it wouldn't be much different at a destination.
  15. Just finishing my internship right now but I will be a Dietitian.
  16. In terms of your question about a TA. I am using a TA from this website They are really great so far. She gets back to my emails immediately. I was skeptical about working with a TA over the internet at first but she has put all my fears at ease. It doesn't cost any extra money to use a TA. I am also expecting about 50 people so I decided that a TA was my best option as I didn't want to take on the large task of arranging all that travel. In terms of prices for the guests, I think everyone has a different experience. Some can get great deals on their own but sometimes TA's can arrange better deals. So it really comes down to whether or not you want to be responsible for arranging travel or leave it to the pros.
  17. I understand your frustration because when something like this happens to me and I receive horrible service or someone refuses to fix their mistake I am just as mad and I want to be able to complain to someone. But I think your FI is right. They obviously aren't going to take any responsibility and you did already get your ring fixed. So I don't think there is a whole lot you can do. Aside from writing a bad review for the store.
