  2. My lanterns are from theknot.com... and I just ordered the string lights and flameless tealight candles from 100candles.com... We are having lots of guests...15 tables, so we need enough decor for the space.
  3. My wedding is November 19th... I arrive at the resort on the 15th... I am bringing 40 lanterns and battery LED string lights for the poolside reception and 30 for our cocktail hour on the beach...I am also bringing battery LED tealights for the tables for the poolside reception so that my guests can see my table number centerpieces in the dark...

I am printing itineraries for our guests that include restaurants, bars, and pools to meet at throughout the weekend...BUT I am having difficulty finding out which resort map is MOST CURRENT (for this November).... I am trying to match the icons of each bar/restaurant/pool in my itinerary/schedule to the ones on the map key (and so, I need to know what is the most current map)... Please help! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe Akumal is different, but we are allowed to bring down lanterns for the reception...I know there lanterns that hang are either electrical wired lanterns and there are also battery-operated lanterns as well... I'm just unsure as to what lighting technique I am supposed to purchase and bring down...or if they just hang the lanterns for decor and not even light them?
  9. You can use the lanterns- if you supply them. They will set them up for you the day of the wedding as well... I just would like to know if I need to bring string to hang them and if I need to bring batteries and light bulbs for each lantern- as some of the pictures on facebook only look like the lanterns are used for decor and may not actually be lit?
  10. Andree, tlseege: I understand that brides often bring down lanterns for decor and I see them in the face book pics, but I'm not sure if they are actually lit or just hanging for decoration. Do we need to provide a string for them to hang on as well? and do they just hang them for decoration or do they actually light them (battery vs electrical plug/outlet)???? ANY help would be great since Eugenia is away this month! thank you!

I am having Melissa Parry doing our (bridal party and me) hair and make-up on the day of the wedding...look up MVP and DJ Bijan for our private poolside dinner and reception...look up mayanvibes.com. He is very affordable!

  16. crystalz: I am getting married at Akumal Hammock Location as well...a white fabric is included- I believe it may be extra for anything more/other than that...

Waybuloo: We also booked DJ Bijan for our poolside reception, but we are also having a private dinner during the poolside reception and a cocktail party on the beach before the poolside as well. Did you provide him with a song list/requests before the wedding? How was his sound system- was it loud enough? Did he have any lights with him? Thanks!!!!
