  1. If my friend wasn't so awesome and gives me tons of MAC products all the time, I would have too! The girls definitely loved getting the gloss, and a lot of them traded with each other to get the color they wanted. I had Celeste pick out colors for them that she thought would match skin tone etc., but in the end each to their own right?
  2. Thank you very much! xo Here is the list of Etsy sellers I used.... Ties - Cyberoptix - Bethany Bouquet Charm/Garter - your charmed wedding - Lindsay Custom Hanger - twistedwords Sand Ceremony - Sayanythingdesign Hair Flower - Silverpencils - Brandi Groom's Ring - Titaniumknights - Danny and Amy Wordle website was....www.wordle.net Happy Planning!
  3. I bought my hairflower off Etsy from Silverpencils.......its a peony, and has a jewel'ed center...I loved it! Here it is during our vows!
  4. If I were to do it all over again, I honestly don't think I would have added a thing, OR taken anything away! I just would have payed more attention to what I was signing the day of our wedding (if I had really thought about our guests eating dinner in the rain, I would have had them move it inside while we were having our ceremony)! The smors bonfire was one of my favorite memories!! We had awesome weather, and below is pics of the food table. Yes, the bonfire looks like a bust, but the bar is where everyone is gathered in front of (hahaha). They setup a table for my pashminas, glowsticks and IPOD dock as well, so our guests just grabbed them as they came down to the beach! We danced the night away...so much fun! I remember asking my WC about the prize too....I don't recall her answering me, nor was there anything set up that jogs my memory. lol It is not your typical smors by any means (see pic). BUT it was all very tasty, and I loved the way they set it up...looked fancy! I would definitely do the smors bonfire party again, for sure!!!! (ps....they had a reggae party on the beach one night when we were there...it was SO much fun...don't miss it!!!)
  5. No worries! My ceremony start time was 4:00pm, the sunset was at 6:15pm (ish) in October....not sure when your wedding is, but if you google Mexico sunsets, there are sites that will give you that info. ...I did take pics outside anyway, and am crossing fingers that they turned out (the photographer kept saying that we may not like the weather, but they prefer overcast to sunny as they take better pics...) Here is to hoping he is right!!!
  6. Here is my review on AS. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/azul-sensatori-hotel-by-karisma-all-inclusive/reviews/5247
  7. If you are a foodie, you are going to REALLY love it there when you get to spend the week!!! Make sure you check out Le Chique...we did the wine paring and it was unreal!
  8. Hello there....Thank you! Yes, we had to pay the outside vendor fee, which at the time was $500, but I think that AS just made it $800? (correct me if I am wrong).
  9. Welcome Michelle!!! Happy Planning! We used DJ doremixx, and honestly, because of the rain, we didn't have too much time to get into music as we moved inside halfway through, but he played the music we asked, and he stayed a tad later then they were supposed to. I went with Ivan because I had heard great things about him, and they are a preferred vendor, and he is easy to email with (patricia is his secretary and she was super quick to get back to any emails I had).
  10. I stayed with one of my bridesmaids the night before, we had a ton of fun....waking up with her was good too, cause I was a bit of a nervous mess, and she put a sombraro on and danced in her undies....while I half laughed/half cried at 6am....(oh.....to be a fly on the wall)... The contents of the OOT bags shopping is fun!!! Enjoy!
  11. yeah, I think the dinner portion would def. be more on the romantic quiet side, but I am sure the catamaran would be hopping! especially if you are having a private cruise, and you can let them know what type of mood you are trying to set.
  12. I just got home about a week ago....the beach.... It is a small beach (sand to water)....it is quite weedy, although the resort comes along a number of times a day to clear it away. There is a coral reef just in front of the hotel in the water, which makes the water dark in color. Once you walked into the water about 6 feet, it becomes very rocky (chris bruised the bottom of his foot pretty bad, and 2 other guests cut their feet). You can, however, walk a short distance down the beach to where the walk in was all sand, but it felt too secluded to hang out at that end. We were more of pool people, so it wasn't a big deal to me, but some of my guests did mention that they have been to nicer beaches. I would go back in a heartbeat, and don't regret having my wedding at this resort. Hope this helps!
  13. *yours (as in planning threads)..sorry, super sick with a fever here! lol
  14. Such nice words, you have no idea how good it feels to hear, AND for the projects to be over Can't wait to see all of your when your time comes...weddings away are magical!!!!
  15. Thats too bad about your bridesmaid...the same thing happened to me, I know how crappy it feels! Is she going to come to the wedding? Everything will still be awesome, and everything happens for a reason!! (I ordered Chris/groomsmen custom ties...didn't like the one we got him as it was too light in color, but we bring it "just in case"...well, doesn't his brother mis-place his tie day of!!!)
  16. I am pretty sure they have dancing/music...when I was researching catamarans, I was told everytime that there was music etc. on board. It is the etsy seller called "sayanythingdesign".....www.etsy.com The entire package came with the frame/vases and funnel. Thank you very much!
  17. Thank you ladies....its so nice to hear! The scavenger hunt was an easy one, and totally kept them busy for quite some time.
  18. Thank you very much! I am pretty sure I have used the word craftyness a few times during this process. lol Keep at it, its all worth it!
