Bridesmaids dresses
Mwise17 replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Has anyone heard of the Wrap Dress by Dessy? (or anyone for that matter).....is anyone having their bridesmaids wear it? It sounds like a great idea, but I have heard its hard to do on your own, and it doesn't offer much support! ??? -

Short one gets my vote! -
I feel for you!! I have been there, and it sucks!!! Keep going! sounds like you are doing all the right things, and it will pay off soon!!! I know how much it sucks, and unfortunately us ladies past 30 tend to have an even more difficult time! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

I totally agree! I am on "the hormone diet" right now. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, and didn't want to take synthetic hormones (tried it, and gained 30 pounds!!!!)....I am now off them and have lost 17, but have quite a few to go!! The hormone diet follows basically what you just described. Its helping me to get the processed crap out of my diet, and only good carbs (whole grains/or from natural sources like sweet potatoes) and keep cow's milk to a minimum! I have only been on it a week, and am not weighing myself until next Friday. I feel great so far!

Very Exciting!!! Congrats on booking!!! Hey Murmel, Thanks so much, your the best! I know right? Its so hard to pass on the info. without sounding pushy...thats how I feel when I am talking to them anyway, but they just don't get it! If any of them stick to their guns, I'll def. have them email you!!! As for the marrying in T.O., how much does it cost with papers etc. to do it at city hall vs. having them come to you? $300 sounds like a deal to me! The more I think about it, if I can keep my big mouth shut, no one will know the difference, and we will do it here, and it seems like everything else will be a bit easier in regards to the papers/ceremony stuff.....and Chris hates needles, he would probably want to do it this way too. (I guess I should check with him eh?) lol

Hey Murmel! We got an all in deal for $1575 per person. (deal? not sure...hahhaha, but it was the lowest price we had come across).... I don't know where else they might be looking, but a lot of people think if they wait last minute they can get it cheaper...I don't know how else to respond but to tell them how often the hotel sells out! I took the risk of putting down the deposit for my peace of mind, I will be OK if we lose a couple hundred. The legal ceremony is sounding more and more like a pain in the butt....and with more thought, the idea of getting married here sounds like it won't take away from the day...that was what I was worried about. I assumed whomever was officiating our wedding would have an accent, but its sounding like the judges that do the legal are harder to understand then the ministers? hmmmmmmmm......

Does anyone have a timeline'ed to do list they are working off of? I feel like I am winging it a bit, and keep writing to do lists, with no date deadlines to them, and feel like I am forgetting things, or should have had things done by now, and perhaps haven't even thought of stuff that needs to be done..... ?

Ladies! I am not sure what to do....Chris and I guess-timated and block booked a number we thought we would hit no problem. That means we had to pay a non-refundable deposit for each spot. What we didn't expect was so many guests to rsvp yes, and then tell us they aren't going through our travel agent, and they will wait last minute to get a better rate, or they have "points" with a company and are booking with them etc. etc. I don't want to make them book with our group, but there are other reasons besides just the money we would lose...I am afraid the resort will book up (which we all know it does), and what if they overbook and our entire group needs to move (again, has happened as we all know). I outlined the importance of booking as a group on our website, but I guess it didn't help much. ???

Question for anyone doing a legal ceremony.... Now, I am not the most religious of people, but a judge has to perform the legal ceremony? Whats the difference between a judge and a minister? I am not so sure about this legal ceremony now...I am just getting bad vibes..?? Anyone else doing the legal? Any details to share? Yes, the ministers all speak English. I have you down for a legal ceremony with a judge. Would you like me to change this to a symbolic ceremony with a minister? Quoted from the WC.

OOOOHHHHHHHH so cute!!!! Love it, love it, love it!!! I think I can work this into the budget...I love it!!!!! (did I mention I love it?) lol.... GREAT FIND!!! Thanks yet again Murmel!!! I have checked out that line, they are gorgeous dresses. I think the "stuff" on it is it what I love! I like textured dresses, and I don't want to wear a veil, so the "veiled strap" is awesome. I am only not "sold" because it was my first time I tried on dresses, so I am going to try on a few more just to be sure. I am glad I love it though and not just kinda like it...so something GREAT will have to come along to top it!

I think it looks beachy too! I can totally see myself getting married in it!! My future mother in-law thought it looked like I had a Lai around my neck...but I am hoping I can tell them to remove a bit of the material, so its not so poofy......(if this is the one).....I have a good feeling, but it was day one...think I need another day under my belt to be sure.

Went dress shopping for the first time today, this one made my mom cry!!!! (similar to yours kerry872!!).... I loved it, and think it would look beautiful on the beach....it has a Grecian style. How do you know when to stop looking? I really didn't want to try anymore on after this one.... I am SO EXCITED!!!!
