  1. Agreed - the 10 week mark makes the wedding seems CRAZY fast-approaching now! EHHHH I'm starting to freak out a little bit. But, all we really have to do now are the small things (OOT bag tags, Escort cards, alterations, order invites for the AHR, figure out music, etc). I'm getting so excited!!!
  2. I just received my vials and they are perfect size! Can't wait to get them going and post some pics
  3. Courtney I love that ur pup is attending your legal!!! Ours is a year old and would not behave :-) Joanne you are reminding me of all these small DIY projects I HAVE to start! I've bought almost everything for the OOT bags, but I keep forgetting about the bag tags, message in a bottle escorts, etc. I better get moving! It's coming up so quick!
  4. Congrats Kerri!!!!! So glad it all went well! I can't see the pics on my iPad but I can't wait to look at them!!!! I can't find you on FB...are you private? Are you friends with Fatima? Congrats again!!!!!!
  5. loving the hair inspiration! I can't believe it's almost September... which means November is around the corner! I also just did my BD session (yesterday) and it was such an experience!!!!! EEK I hope they turn out okay!
  6. The Martha Stewart link said to order the VC4C bottles. They are easier to get your finger in to pull out the paper since its not tapered at the top. I plan to order mine next week!
  7. Congrats Jen! Yes, tables, chairs and basic white linens are included in all receptions - whether you have a package or not. You can upgrade to chavari (wooden chairs), add on colored napkins or chair ties, etc for extra $$. Happy planning!
  8. We've decided to legally get married here before we go. I was really really torn... and still not 100%. But I want our wedding in Mexico to be IT for us, and I don't want to come home and then do a legal ceremony. I want to feel 100% married once we have the ceremony in Mexico. But, I also don't want the ceremony in Mexico to feel "not real". So, we're going to the courthouse about a week before we leave for Mexico... no family, no kiss, no rings, not even saying "i do". Just saying "yes" hahah. I'm wearing a white dress to my shower and will wear that to the courthouse. So far, no one has asked about it being legal and we just want to keep it us. We'll do a fancy dinner just me and him after the courthouse :-)
  9. This is probably pretty random - but I've searched a ton of OOT bag / first aid treads and can't find anyone saying whether or not their items leaked during the travel? Are you guys packaging your first aid kids before leaving (with hand sanitizer, etc) or putting those kits together while your at the destination? Just curious if people have found things leaking once they arrive and I'd hate to get that all over everything!
  10. 98 days for me tooooo! EEEE! Getting so excited but it is really starting to fly by. My shower is next weekend - so excited. Everything is pretty much done except escort cards/table (we're doing message in a bottle theme DIY) and finally started really shopping for OOT bag items. Target had a big sale on travel size Advil and tissue so I got all that. Everyone's attire is figured out - just need to get alternations. Still have to go ring shopping. The countdown is really on!
  11. Here's our timeline: 4:30 - Ceremony 5:00 - Group Toast on the beach / group photo 5:15 - Family/Bridal Party pictures 5:45 - Bride & Groom Photos on the beach 6:30 - Reception starts on Las Palmas We're not doing a cocktail hour. $30 a person when we're already at an all-inclusive place was just too much for us. Guest can drink their champagne, watch us take pictures, go to the Dreams bar, etc. The sun sets at 6:15 in November so we'll get some great sun-setting pictures and let everyone sit down at 6:30, then make our entrance at 6:45. I'm hoping it's enough time for pictures with my and my hubby after the wedding!
  12. I thought we were doing good on attire... but now I'm worried it's not going to come together! We bought our GM tan linen pants at Banana Republic one sale (they are awesome - originally $70 on sale for $30!!!). They are perfect and I think the guys will wear them again. We ordered my Fiance's suit from J Crew online and it hasn't come in yet. We tried it on a while ago in the store, but waited to long and now they only have it online. He loves it and is set on it now (of course, fingers crossed he still loves it when it comes in). http://www.jcrew.com/mens_special_sizes/tall/suits/PRDOVR~25269/99101980645/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~0~15~all~mode+matchallany~~~~~linen%20suit/25269.jsp Will it matter if the Groom's suit is a slightly different color khaki than the GM pants? My original plan was to have the GM's just wear whatever white shirt they want (I'm not a picky person, my BMs are wearing the same dress but different styles)... but is that going to look okay? I need a dress rehearsal! LOL
  13. Thanks guys! You're right - seaside looks great!!! I love the rocks and mountains :-) I can't wait!!!
  14. We bought 2 different bags from Vista Print (used the coupon from Living Social. $10 for $50 worth! Here's one with palm trees.. the other one with flowers I can't find. It's there somewhere! They have a ton of designs: http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/easypath/studio.aspx?pf_id=A00&combo=71145.114.9.84253|84253|794|0&uei=139303&icparts=yes&ag=true&combo_id=119517&ssc=1&filter=9%3a10013||1%2c34%3a10121||1%2c3%3a10113||1&xnav=previews&xnid=button&rd=3&ref=1&referer=http%3a%2f%2fwww.vistaprint.com%2fgallery%2fEHIAAAABAAMAAAA%3d%2fsmall-tote-bags%2fbeach.aspx%3fxnav%3dsearch Sign up for their emails and you'll start getting free offers. They always have a promo for free postcards going on!
  15. Hey past and previous brides - any thoughts on Oceana vs Sea Side beach? We're currently booked at Sea Side... but I just saw this video of a wedding at Oceana that looks amazing. I love the rocks in the background! I'd love to hear what previous brides thought and what future brides are planning! here's the video - it got me REALLY excited :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88shxee2Lgg
  16. Hi mllek1986 - that's a great idea! Are you giving her a list of songs you want to play? Or are you giving her a CD with all the music on it?
  17. For brides that want to stay in PV for a mini honeymoon - check out Verana! It's kind of expensive... but we're only staying 4 nights and thought we'd splurdge http://www.verana.com/site/php/houses.php
  18. I'm getting married end of November! Arriving on Nov 15 and checking out on Nov 20 for our honeymoon at Verana!!!
  19. Ohhh fun! We are also thinking of doing a fishing trip or excursion for the groomsmen. Did you book through Vallarta Adventures? Are they doing it the morning of the wedding? I can't believe you only have a month left! I have 4 and am starting to get SO excited I can barely contain myself. And I've got a ways to go LOL
  20. Very cute!!! Love the bags - what a good deal! Where did you buy the little circle tags???
  21. Hey Kerrib! You are getting sooooo close!!!! Is everything pretty much done?? Fatima has been really nice and responsive with me too all of a sudden! And she also said taxes are already included in my contract. Whoot!!! I'll bring that email with me for sure. I'm pretty much done with making decisions (though I change my mind all the time!). I can't wait to get a head count and finalize everything!!!!!!
  22. We're doing the free package because we are having our own photographer come AND we didn't want to pay an extra $20 a person for the "cocktail" hour. So we're doing the free package and paying $45 a person for the dinner. We're doing the champagne toast after the ceremony and 10 ppl are included in the free package and then we are paying a few dollars for each person over that. My thoughts are people can mingle with their champange and hang out for the hour we're doing photos. Our guests wouldn't want us to spend $20 a person just for some appetizers. That would be $1,000 just for some snacks and drinks for one hour! Chairs (with white covers) are included in any of the packages (no matter how many guests). If you want to upgrade to the wooden chavari chairs it's an extra cost per person. We're still getting good treatment, although I think every bride wants more attention than she's getting ;-)
