You are defintiely not alone but unforutnately I disagree with ryan190, I feel (just from the quick story you posted) that these people are definitely giving you the run around! I mean you offered to pay! You offer to pay for my plane ticket and I'm there! But, the biggest thing to me that says they (or at least some) are giving you the "run around" is because they are avoiding you. Pleanty of people can't go to our wedding in May but the are still in my life and asking questions about plans and what not, except one, my BF  from college, she ahsn't asked me one thing because she doesn't know if she is going yet because she WANTS to get pregnant, nevermind pregnancy is not an illness that would keep you from a vacation (hello heard of a babymoon) but my MOH (BF since 6th grade) will be 7 months pregnant. Its just about that persons character, selfishness shows at these times, nevermind all I have done for her for her wedding and multiple issues through otu life, but whatever. Point being you are definitely not alone and IMO I don't want those kind of unreliable people in my life, and am glad this happened when it was a joyful time in my life god forbid a devastating one when I found out I couldn't count on her. I have been in 7 weddings! All exactly the same, same ceremony, same hummer limo, same country club style place, same random people invited because they worked with brides/grooms father, I could've went through all the motions wiht my eyes closed nothing was unique or personal....and no matter what no bridesmaid dress could ever be worn again...I wanted just me and my FI originally but our very close friends and family are too important not to invite, cant wait!

We are having a casual AHR, but I still feel weird about a shower, I would feel weird if we were having a traditional at home wedding, I feel guilty that people will spend money on us just because we chose to get married

I think its a great idea! I was definitely considereing this as a gift but wanted to get something small for her right now too, just as a congrats you're pregnant type thing.

Two questions actually.....

If you are getting married on the beach do you HAVE to use that beach gazebo or do you get a chioce of an arch?

Also do any of you plan on shipping down any decorations or what not?

I'm not getting married in Mexico but it was one of our choices, we are getting married in jamaica and people are saying the same thing, they are going to get kidnapped/murdered/something along those lines. I think you have to have common sense when traveling anywhere, includin within the US.  I don't know where you live but I'm from Pittsburgh, which in thelast few years has been multiple times been named on forbes list as americas most livable city...well just this week on the news we had a family of three shot to death and a girl missing, which is happening in every city in America, so I don't know what it is about International travel that freaks people out, I just tell them if yo'ure scared stay home, I will send you pics, because if my wedding was happening here they wouldn't be saying anything about murder/drugs/kidnappings....sorry for the rant I just get so annoyed with that comment

Hey Ladies, Just wanted to add some info to this thread, I am a Dental Hygienist, so this is what I do all day long, remember even in the same profession everyone has different opinions especially on elective procedures doesn't necessarily mean one is right or one is wrong so here is my OPINION

First thing First never ever buy those off the wall whitening products you may see on tv, like the $20 UV light or God forbid, those setups in the tanning salons or mall!

Crest White Strips are Great! Our practice highly recommends them, they are just as good as the Custom Tray Bleaching, they are just not as high of a concentration of the bleaching agent, however the custom trays are actually fitted to your mouth so you will get into the "hard to reach" in between parts of your teeth better than the strips. Zoom/ Zoom2 Whitening, this is basically just the I'm to lazy to wear trays or need it done tomorrow method, unless I was given a deal on it, I wouldn't pay the amount unless I needed it done ASAP.

As for sensitivity its completely normal, the best thing you can do is use a sensitivity toothpaste at least for a couple days before you start ( at least a week or two for Zoom), it takes sensitivty toothpaste two weeks to work and also you need to be using it for the full two minutes while brushing or it isn't going to work either, the bleach can make your gums sensitive will go away though...absolutely do not stop flossing! IMO best senitivity toothpaste are sensodyne or crest sensitivity, if one doesn't work for you the other should ( they work in 2 different ways)

Up Keep: No matter what the box says make sure you brush and floss before using....whitening doesn't "fade" its your daily habits that will affect the color of your teeth, commonsense stuff like smoking, coffee, tea, drk cola also remember red wines, blueberries, red sauce...just drink through a straw and you will be fine!

Your dress is really pretty I love it! Love the shape on you! I actually think that dress will look great on the beach but, I don't like the flowy dress look, just my opinion though. My dress isn't flowy either its mermaid and many other girls on here don't have that flowy typical beach look either, if you love it keep it! Congrats!

Dress is beautiful, fits great and looks great on you, skip the belt, its perfect for a DW without one, maybe add the belt if you are going to have AHR, I just think bling on dresses isn't beachy but that is strictly an opinion, congrats!
