I don't think registering implies you are asking for gifts, if anything people are grateful that when you register it takes the guess work out of what to get you and they don't have to worry if you will like it or thaat you might end up with 12 blenders! I was really up in the air about a shower/registering....a wise friend pointed out to me, if people don't want to get you something they won't but most people really wanted to because they can't make it to the wedding, it makes them feel they were apart of it at least a little bit, anyway to each their own, good luck!

I like number 2 as well, I agree with C&J that the flowered one is more of a little girl look, plus you can always justify pearls at a beach wedding because they are from the sea!

Thanks for the comments ladies, her dress is the same cut & style, the same colors except hers has white thru it where my BMs don't, I was pissed because I showed her in person the BM dresses! I'm in the same kind of situation as Mocha, she does says things on purpose, she did it to my FSIL last year when they got married and she warned me about it, oh well I'm going to let her do whatever she wants with the dress, its definitely a cheaper version of the dress and if she is comfortable standing around the BM's kinda looking the same thats her issue..lol as far as having the balls to tell someone not to wear something, I'm kinda shocked that soemone would have the balls to buy a dress that almost matches the BMs, Thanks for the input ladies, nice to know I'm not crazy in my thinking and that some others have annoying FMIL too!

I have been in seven weddings, and all seven have had to pay for my dress, none were cheap, but in every wedding the dresses were completely awful because the bride wanted to accomodate bigger girl/ pregnant girls so I am totally for the dresses in same color let them choose style they are comfortable with, or for instance my girls will wear beautiful dresses and my MOH who will be 7 mo pregnant will wear a dress she is comfortable in, in the same color scheme, because I have always been on the receiving end of crap dresses I wasn't going to make my other girls wear mumus because my MOH is pregnant, (no matter what I did pay for their dresses), sorry got off track, point being its brides choice, if bride is a decent friend she will listen to the girls input

I don't think mixing in pink will look odd at all, and actually if you put it in your flowers, maybe even the ribbon around the bouts, and girls flowers, it would definitely pop especially in pics and look awesome!

can you put up some pics of the dresses/ shirts? (sorry I'm visual), you could possibly do just white shirts for the guys and either have the boutinerre match the girls dress and flowers or a tie that they can wear for ceremony and take off later if they want

Blah, so ladies I got really sick tuesday night last week and just felt better yesterday, so I haven't exercised and haven't been eating well (it wasn't the stomach flu so unfortunately I wasn't forced to not eat). So tomorrow will be my get back on track day with eating and exercise, not super excited aboutt diet but excited to start working otu again, I feel so much better when I do! Also, my FI is so awesome, bought a treadmill on thursday and has turned one of our guest bedrroms into our own gym, complete with swivel/tilt mount for our flat screen so it will be in front of treadmill or over to the side to video tapes, Also bright paint to get me motivated and mirrors all on onside of wall! HE is awesome! oh and side note...its 150 post
