    I just ordered some organza table runners from efavormart.com. They ended up costing $2.39 each. And shipping was cheap. I'm waiting for them to arrive, but for that price I couldn't not order them!

    luvmoo, When did they tell you that they were upgrading the bride and groom to business class? I wonder if they will do that for us too...we booked 48 people on our flight alone! Although, I think I might want to sit with all of our family friends....

    ladies, I think it's 40 people minimum to rent out the restaurants and pay $800 to have it private. I really like that idea, then I won't have any other hotel guests participating in our wedding celebrations!

    Laurent, I went through our TA and she booked us with Air Canada Vacations.She checked Transat, Westjet, sunwing etc...but it turned out the cheapest. The price was 1887 for a gardenview room. If you paid in full by the march deadline, there was a $200 early booking bonus, so technically most of our guests paid 1687. That was by far the cheapest rates we could get locked in from Toronto. The first place I went to was Flight Center in the mall....they were pretty helpful too and they gave me all of the travel books to look at!

    I bought some flameless candles at costco...they come in tea lights and votives, they look good! I was afraid of the wind blowing them out too, especially at the open air resturant...the last thing we need is a paper lantern inferno!

    Jenni, I picked the beach resort because of the cost of the vacation. I didn't want my guest's paying more than $1800 per person to go to Jamaica for the week (I wanted everyone to come and I based it on travel quotes from January!). As far as I know the wedding packages between the suites and the beach resort are very similar, but it's more money to stay at the suites. Also take into consideration that the grand doesn't allow kids!

    Leslioni, I went to dollarama and bought these! They have 2 sizes, they come in turquoise, pink and green. They don't have any white ones. I would pick them up now, since they are seasonal items (in the gardening section). I did find white lanterns at Pier 1 except they wanted $18 for 3 of them, but eventually I found some at dollarama (but they don't light up). My colours are turquoise and silver (since the resort supplies silver bows on the chairs, it seemed like a good idea to me!)

    I mailed our STD's in Feb for our December wedding. I'm thinking about sending the formal invitations out in early August with an October 1st RSVP date so I know exactly who is coming and who is not. I don't want any surprise last minute guests showing up that are not accounted for!

    Since I'm not doing an OOT bag (too many people, not enough luggage space!) ...do you think it would be a good idea to do a welcome brochure and hand it out on the plane ??

    I wish Target was coming to Canada sooner...I can't beleive you got your bridesmaid dresses so cheap! And they look great!!

    I tried to cut and paste from their website, but check out their silver bracelets in the under $250 dollar section and you will find something nice there!

    I like the idea of a Tiffany bracelet. This one is very pretty, and under 150 dollars! It's definately something that your bridesmaids will cherish and wear again.

    Jacki, That happened to me too, I thought we'd have about 30 people book, but we are up to 48 plus 10 from Florida coming too! Plus all of the last minute people who decide to come. I never thought we'd have 60+ people at our wedding in Jamaica!

    I wonder what the standard $58 dollar centerpiece looks like ? Does anyone know ? I want to have nice flowers...but I don't want to spend $$$$ on them.

    chan porty, I'm not doing a dove release or sand ceremony. I think it will be beautiful with the beach, blue sky and all of our closest family and friends there. If it's too short, then we start the celebration early on the beach with champange!! I think simple and elegant is the way to go!
